Is Quiznos going out of business?

Their big thing used to be the toasted sandwiches.... once Subway got the toaster it was all over.

There's still one near me, though.

Are Americans finally catching on that there are only so many ways a minimum wage worker can slap lunch meats on breads for them!? :O

Next up JIMMY JOHNS!

F*ckin' sub sandwich places. What a scam.

Is Quizno's really a "mom and pop" shop? No...

There will always be shopping malls, strip malls and plazas, but a great deal less. I'm fine with that, because there were way too many. Talk about oversaturation.
Ummm, no Quznos is not a mom and pop store. One store closes and two takes its place. Globalization is a real thing.

Ever looked at the menus from McDonalds from other countries? Might as well be a different restaurant. People forget that aspect

Quiznos is much better than Subway.

They closed one near me, but another one I know about is still open so I get me a Torpedo every once in a while. So damn good.

We have a shop around here that sales sandwiches similar to Quiznos except better.

Sure. I went to Munich this year. I can't believe you can get a McRib in Germany. There hasn't been a McRib in DC since 93. My point still remains. A few companies will have their hands in everything. Smaller stores will go out of business or get bought out. Quiznos is a casualty of that.

friends of a friend of my friends always tells them how awesome quiznos is. it's probably an endless loop.

nobody i know eats quiznos. what the fuck is going on?

You could get the McRib here in Illinois all last winter.

I eat at quiznos once a week, fucking delicious. I used to get the chicken carbonara all the time, but my location cut back on the alfredo sauce for some reason, so it's really bland now. I switched it up to the BBQ Chicken something something. Love that sandwich.

This quiznos is also in the middle of multiple business parks so it isn't going anywhere, usually pretty full whenever I go there.

Quiznos ingredients are far more fresh than Subway's, and their prices are pretty much the same. I prefer Quiznoes even though I've eaten a lot more Subway.

Quiznoes slices meat in the morning, Subway gets theirs in precut trays.

Quiznos is really overpriced, but I like it. Quiznos Classic Italian is the bomb. The one by my office just closed down, despite doing what looked the be pretty good business. The one by my apartment is still up and running, though.

It used to be the most expensive fast food place so I never really went there. After Subway started doing $5 footlongs, Quiznos tried to lower prices and also started selling smaller sandwiches. Now the other day I got an email from them advertising a small sub, chips, and drink for 2.99. That's pretty low right? Subway hasn't done anything that drastic so it seems like Quiznos is doing much worse. I read that about 1,000 Quiznos nationwide closed between 2007 and 2009.

It's kind of depressing seeing strip malls around here looking abandoned. Recently, they closed a bunch of Starbucks, hollywood videos, blockbusters, and a circuit city around here.

It would be fine if local businesses took their place but the buildings are just empty.

Isn't the one in Riverside a Ross or something now. :lol

There used to a great Quizno's right around the block, but they closed down a few years back.

Anyways, last week I dropped by another location and the quality was so much worse. >_>

When they changed the fucking wrapper, that was the moment they went to shit.

fuck me, i think you're right. this is big.
man Waffle house is on that list, no way.

Penn Station subs > all.

Subway is eh, they dont put nearly enough stuff on their subs though.

Charley's, not Charlies, is pretty good too. The original one is right on the ohio state campus, I go there all the time.

It sounds like most of you have never been to a schlotzsky's or a charlies steakery

:(

Charlies and those "steak sandwich" places all have the same fatal flaw; I can make a better steak sandwich at home for a fraction of the cost. :|

Although they used to have a Tuesday special that was affordable so it wasn't insulting to my intelligence.

Pizza Hut is garbage. Wouldn't be sad to see it go.
I agree, they're nothing like they used to be. You can sort of tell without looking at prices or anything like that when these places are on the verge of going under. Circuit City just seemed kind of crappy before it died out. Pizza Hut is going through the same thing. The last time I went to one, it took them an hour to bring our pizza out, and yes we were eating there. The only reason it got brought out is because some employee there "I think he was the manager" saw just arrived and saw the situation, got pissed off and took charge and got shit done, he even apologized to us about everything.

Well, service is one thing...

However, the quality of the food is and always has been awful. For as long as I remember, if there ever was a time when I had to eat there, the food sucked.
