Is Resident Evil 6 at least worth $15?

Just found that this game is $15 at Fred Meyer. I played the demo and hated it, mostly because I couldn't get used to the controls. So, assuming that I learn them over the time, is the rest of the game at least worth that price?

its gonna be $20 at best buy on sunday, new.

I bought it for $25 on black friday and opened it on monday and its been pretty good so far, finished the Leon campaign and thats the best one,
the ada campaign made me fucking feel dumb, those random puzzles got me :(

buy it people

well if you didnt like the demo and it had all 3 campaigns then this game isnt for you. the Chris and Jake campaigns are :/ so far.

It's a brilliant game in my view as I've said many times. Think It's easily worth 60 so 16 is a real steal. Might consider waiting for the PC version at this point though if you can run it.

Not that I've played RE6, but when a game isn't fun, its not about the money anymore. Even if I was given a game for free, if I knew it wasn't a good game, it still wouldn't be worth playing. Waste of time.

Worth $15? Absolutely. It's extremely questionable as a Resident Evil game and has several flaws like cheap insta-death moments, an abundance of QTE's, a rancid storyline, a focus on action over atmosphere, etc. It is however nice looking, extremely fun to play with solid gameplay mechanics and fun combat, has great music and bosses (every last boss in this game is great), a meaty single-player when you factor in all four stories, and Mercenaries is amazingly addictive.

I used to be really down on the game and it's still really far from what I personally want out of the series, but it's worth playing through and definitely worth that decidedly small amount of cash.

Mechanically, it's an incredibly solid game, in terms of combat and mobility. Some crazy awesome smackdowns once you get the hang of things. The campaign is a bit of a rough mishmash, but learning the controls makes for a smoother ride, and Mercs in this game is a blast.

of course! I'd say it was worth it at $60!
I agree, but it's definitely not instantly gratifying. I'd recommend practicing in the demo, dialing down the camera speed, increasing the aiming speed, changing to crosshairs, and learning to slide, dive, roll, counter, quick-shot, auto-mix herbs, paint targets for the AI, etc. And only use cover to quickly recharge stamina for melee attacks, like in Vanquish.

The game's been patched since release, so you can fail a QTE and not be punished for it, and adjust the camera to a wider field of view. That takes away a bit of the frustration, although the whole package is still unbelievably flawed. Still, $15 is a good tester price.

shit I'm goin to fred meyer

I think it's a little over-dramatic to say it isn't worth $15

but I will say I wish I hadn't been talked into buying it for $60 just so a friend and I could do the online co-op

I didn't like the demo's controls either but learned to deal with them over time. Never learned the point of crawling though...

It's a fun game with ups and downs, if you have nothing else to really play then yes I'd go for it, but if you have a back log i'd probably pass for now.

You guys make it sound like RE6 ruined your life.

No, I just didn't like it.

I am not sure how you got "ruined my life" from "I don't think it is one of the best action games" said in a somewhat comical manner, but if you honestly think the two are the same thing, then I am not sure I am the one that should be painted with an overreaction here.

I think you're taking his joke too seriously, dearest Albert. ;)

Absolutely. Just forget that it's called Resident Evil. It's very fun as an online co-op action game.

Needs more Wesker
