Is Resident Evil 6 at least worth $15?

If cigarettes were $15 I might actually consider quitting.

Or, ya know, rolling my own.
Not cigs, but

The part where you get knocked on your back and slide down for ten seconds is pretty hilarious, but I don't know if it's $15 hilarious.
I never encountered this knockdown issue, but my beef with that chapter is the limited visibility in a snow storm at night. Like I said couple posts up, game's worst chapter.

Cabin scene was cute, though.

Not nearly as good. And RE5 isn't all that great.
I agree but RE5's co-op campaign was awesome

RE5 is a game that I actually wanted go back and play through again at higher difficulties and even "speed run" a little bit. I'm cool with never touching 6 again

Oddly enough, I really appreciate RE5's hovercraft section, in retrospect. Nice freedom there, a bit of exploration. Preferable to RE6 vehicle sections.

Hard to go back to RE4/5-style controls now, though.

Yeah it is.

It's a decent game, I just started playing it for the first time and I'm playing on No hope. The game does still seem to have some survival elements because they don't give you enough ammo so you have to be wise about it's usage but then again you don't really need it because you can just beat the shit out of the zombies with melee attacks. It's kind of like that Turok remake for the 360 were the only weapon you needed was a knife.

RE6 is a very flawed game, but not wholly terrible. Wasn't exactly worth the sixty bux I paid at launch.

For $15, though, it's easily worth it.

Yes. Get it for the Chris. Stay for the Sherry.

Seriously, the game is good. Think of it as a funky third person shooter and try to get accustomed to its unique rules. The campaign is really long with literally every action-game cliché you can possibly think of thrown in: some of it's done well, some of it is done bad, and some of it is just plain great.

If you can play it co-op, go for it. That's when the game is at its best especially in Mercs.

If all you had a problem with were the controls, then i say go for it. Controls are something you get use to and the game is designed to work within them. Also, For 15 bucks i doubt you will have much regret now that you know the type of experience you will get and your expectations are probably low. Its a crazy ride.

For reference I knew how to slide in the demo =/
I was referring to the people who reviewed the game. :)

Trust me, I hated the demo. First time. Second time. It didn't click until I tried the demo a third time, on a whim.

Holy flying fuck, is it awesome when it clicks.

Cheapest cigs in the Uk are ÂŁ6.40 for a 20 pack, ya looking ÂŁ8-9 pound for the top brands, kinda ridiculous, they go 40p every 5-6 months lately
So ÂŁ15 for a pack of cigs wouldn't be hard to imagine in the next 4 years

I bought it for $30 and the camera and tutorial not explaining shit and no manual so it could explain shit that the tutorial didn't is a huge waste of money.

So... for $15, I guess you aren't losing as much money as I have.

Mercenaries can be kinda fun when you know some of the shit the tutorial didn't explain but the main game is TERRIBLE. I gotta get around to getting someone here helping me complete it but it's complete garbage.

Do you know how long it takes to find the game on metacritic, screenshot it, crop it in photoshop, upload it to Imgur, and post it on GAF?

Apparently long enough for you to edit.
If you have windows 7 there's a snipping utility that allows you to crop the screen as your take the cap. It'll also save the picture anywhere you want. All you have to do is upload it. ;}

Anyways, this thread is for opinions and I already gave mine. I shan't derail the thread any longer.

i actually enjoyed it a lot, I beat all four campaigns, a few things did make me say "are you fucking serious?" but i mean then again it's a japanese take on western action so i mean the whole Resident Evil series is kinda of silly (like how Metal Gear is, and im not bashing them by saying that because they are my two fav series ever.)

I mean if you don't take it seriously and try to have fun, you should have a blast sliding all over the place and body slamming zombies.

but then again
I liked the ending of ME3

also Sherry is so moe i love it

I feel so lonely in regards to this game, one of my favorites of the generation. All a conspiracy! *jumps out window, landing neck first on grill, causing paralysis*

Bought the Anthology at launch for $59 and RE6 was pretty fun for the price. I don't get the hate. I had more fun with RE6 than most RE game since RE2.

Do the highs of this game ever reach RE4 levels of quality? I've heard the bosses are awesome.
I don't think the bosses are better, nor the pacing, but each basic enemy encounter is a lot more dynamic and intense in RE6, flipping and sliding all over God's green earth like a goddamned ninja.
