Considering that these games will probably be released by 2020. I think it's too early to say anything. Looks promising though.
Atlus was always better.
I think it's pretty impossible for them to return to the glory days fans long for. They had too many notable titles releasing within a close period, and all were quite good. But like I've been saying for a couple of years, they are pretty focused on fixing a lot of their wrongs, and making sure their development pipeline is better this generation.
The Eidos side is doing a great job, but they're also showing off a lot of their projects being made in Japan. There's still more to come, but I think these titles need to release, and be judged, before anything can really be said about how successful they were. It's nice to plan titles, or announce them early, but it doesn't mean anything until the title releases, and delivers a certain level of quality.
If FFXV and KH3 are genuinely good games, and the smaller titles like World of FF, the Platinum crossover, Setsuna, Dissidia etc. are all decent, then it's definitely a step in the right direction for fans. But beyond those, it's also important titles like FF7 and XVI are good, and delivered in an timely manner, as well as the other projects they have in concept/plans. An announcement is one thing. It's full of potential, and expectation. All it takes is to screw up the end result however, and you're not really any better off then. It leaves you further disappointed.
For me, I hope FFXV is really good. I don't really care right now for what's coming beyond. I'm still waiting on a FF that grabs me like the original PS1 trilogy did. Something new, something exciting. It's been quite a long time since then with nothing but disappointment to varying degrees. I'll base my judgment as a fan according to that, and KH3, since they're the two I'll play out of the currently announced lineup.
While not on the level of FFVII, do you know of anything that SE still has up their sleeves to announce over the rest of the year that might blow fans away?

Eidos has always been good, so of course their games improved Square's brand, including the publishing of the original Arkham Asylum at one point and having a lot of stock in the developer Rocksteady.
I have 0 faith in their Japanese department however, which is kind of a shame. They were my heroes back in the day.
Sequels to old games can have new ideas. Especially in the Final Fantasy series. All it tells me is that, like all the other big studios, they rely too much on sequels to old games.
They're pretty bereft of original ideas.
Eidos has always been good? Ehh, I don't think you recall Deathtrap Dungeon, Ninja and Fighting Force
Anyways, SE's been more interesting to me now than in the last 10 or so years... new Nier, new Star Ocean, new RPG IP and finally an FF7 remake. I'm hoping they all turn out to live up to their expectations. And I can't wait to see what DQ11 and SaGa Vita turn out to be like. Seems that after FF14's unprecedentedly successful relaunch, SE has a lot more resources to focus on console games again.
Since the new Dragon Quest Game will get announced this year, i think DQ 11 on Ps4 would be a pretty big deal
Could OP add release dates to these games or add a time frame for these games?
Heeeey, I liked Deathtrap Dungeon >.>
Anyway, OP, I think you got the wrong SaGa game. This is the one you want.
Probably already pointed out, but wtv =X

The fact they're finally getting round to remaking FF7 suggests to me they've no idea what they're doing anymore to be honest. I could respect them refusing that, saying they don't want to retread old ground, but now they're doing it and it's going to be very different? Seems like a big mistake. Great way to waste a ton of money making a remake very few people want instead of the remake people have been so clearly saying they do.
Other than that there's a lot of unknown quantities tbh. Hitman looks kind of dull, FFXIV is marmite as hell and FFXV is either going to be amazing or awful.
Just Cause 3 and Kingdom Hearts 3 look lovely though.
i don't think this was an act of desperation, but more due Nojima - Kitase and Nomura finally be available (since they were they all busy over the last gen with their projects)
It was like the perfect time & and since Nomura and Kitase don't get younger, now or nerver.
its on of the most requested titles in the world. apart from the Remake they are still working on FF15 and FF16

What is this that people keep talking about with PS2 glory days? I can't seem to remember any PS2 glory days. I can remember SNES and PS1 glory days just fine however.
