I've been seeing this piece of trash look for the past couple of hours now, and it's made me increasingly worried about the future of facial hair.

I sort of have one of these. But I let it over the chin a bit more and keep the 'stache. It's alright. Would be silly without the extra though, I think only a few people can pull that without looking super douchey.

No, the chinstrap has been around for a long time. Remember those pencil thin ones back in the early 00's ? Never a good look.

I saw some asshole just now with a chinstrap beard, but he left his butt chin exposed. I wanted to punch him in the face so bad.

dudes who want a beard but weren't manly enough to be blessed with hair on the cheeks/goatee

my younger brother's chinstrap so nappy and tragic

I'm guessing that's what dudes who can't grow a decent mustache have to stoop to.
I can't blame them, there are few things less disgraceful than a grown ass man with a thinning teenage mustache.

I used to wear one of these in my early undergrad years. My girlfriend (now wife) at the time preferred this and would ask me to shave the mustache part off. She enjoyed the look and functionality.

Was easy to maintain and the ladies didn't complain about being poked or tickled. It served its purpose but now that I'm older and wiser I just keep the full beard.

I don't think anyone is slaying pussy with that one OP. Beards are still pretty prominent here in NYC bruh.

The soul patch is just as bad. It looks like phlegm you'd spit out that ended up on your chin.

Shit stains are indeed the worst.

Why do people care? If you are a trend-hopper that lives your life by trends, you have little to no self-worth considering that you've already likely been a part of horrible trends in the past, hence you shouldn't complain, you'll follow shepherd regardless of what you like or dislike because... TREND.

If you have a beard, you shouldn't feel obligated to change your facial hair based on trend. If you like the way your beard/facial hair looks, keep it that way.

For me, this is not my style, but I see nothing wrong with it. If you like it for you, more power to you. And that's the important thing, do what you like, it's your face, after all.

This is still all I can really get for a beard. Safe to say I don't grow it out.

I don't really have a problem with others with this style, just not for me.

I have one because I can't grow a moustache and I'd look like a teenager if I'd shave it off.
I'm sorry.

so much anger over how other people style their own facial hair... weird.

Beards were never in or out for me. I always had mine and always will. And lol at this article for only using pictures of one dude who shaved his beard.

the weirdest part about the article is that in no way does it prove that beards are out. only reason why he cut it was because he couldn't find jobs as a professional model with it. most Hipsters don't have to worry about that.

It looks disgusting because his beard isn't thin. He needs to fix up his hair and make thee beard thinner.
