Is there a better dancer alive than Chris Brown?

I was not impressed by the OP video. But I guess if you are gonna keep it within the domain of pop stars there ain't nobody better I can think of.

The answer is always prince, david bowie or michael fassbender on gaf.
In some cases it's prince, david bowie AND michael fassbender.

Chris Brown is a fine dancer. The majority of his albums are also decent R&B too. But the Fine China video is a poor example of both. He's basically imitating MJ the entire time, which is kind of his thing and speaks to the brilliance of the originator anyway, but still, there are much better examples out there.

Actuall professional dancers? Chris Brown is excellent among singers, but let's not go overboard, he's at best average when compared to top people who actually dedicate their whole career to just dancing.

I will always be partial to TakeSomeCrime dude .... but I know there are professionals that do better

This person gets it. I love this guy's moves, probably my favorite dancer that isn't Michael Jackson. (Between me an NeoGAF, I've had to check my "straight card" a couple times because his moves in a couple videos are incredibly sensual/sexy for a guy but it works. See his video for Mister by Kara)

Only live performance of his that impressed me was the one at the grammies a few years ago:

It's not really the dance itself so much as it is the performance. Most modern artists, including Brown, are lacking in showmanship IMO, which makes watching even complex choreography unengaging. Being able to pull off a bunch of moves only goes so far, and while I give him credit for being able to dance exceptionally while moving, there's not much else that distinguishes him from a background dancer.

That's pretty much what he is though. It's not like he's singing live on stage while dancing.

There are song and dance men; and then there's just dance men. Brown is the latter. His vocals are completely studio produced.

What's with all these stupid threads. Like the other pop thread proclaiming that Lorde is ultimate pop music xD
Better dancer? USHER, NEYO, JASON DERULO, heck even one trick pony poppin Jon is better.
OP don't makean thread because you're a fanboy and just like the dude.

Just Timberlake did a 13 minute live performance at the MTV Video awards last year. In one take. In front of an audience. While singing.

and then there are thousands of better dancers out there who are not known at all. They're the ones usually dancing behind celebrities on stage. or choreographing.
Holy shit. I came into this thread to say JT and this proves it. Jesus he's good. I can think of very few people that could do what he did. MJ is maybe one of them.

(And I say all this as someone who fairly exclusive listens to house and techno)

MJ, JT, Usher, BoA, Rain... not many others who run in that crowd.

Well, if that's true then he's completely unimpressive.

Any person taking part to the BC One qualifications (not even the final main event) dances better than he does.

He can't perform powermoves, that's why he was left out of the "Battle of the Year" finale.

Did you guys see that shit Bruno Mars pulled off in the super bowl halftime show!?
Bruno is completely solid, a top performer carving out his legend for sure, but what he does is from an older school of performance so I can't comfortably toss him in this discussion.
