Is there a really accurate anime adaptation out there ?

Gundam: One Year War for PS2 is basically the original Gundam series, episode by episode. Highly recommended too, a lot of the Project Aces team worked on it.

First, you're insulting me and second I'm a programer so I actually know how long it is to make a game, but I'll admit my knowledge in the graphical department is lacking. But you've missed part of my point and that's the last thing I'll say to you if you keep treating me like some kind of retard. Learn to respect people (I saw what you edited).

So... That's it then? You do not accept that you were incorrect but likewise you chose not to argue against me?

By the way, if you were insulted then I'm sure. I'm just strengthening my point. And why do you think I edited my post? If you saw that I had edited it, didn't you ever think why? Now I regret editing my post, because it seems like I was right. And I never called you a retard, you called yourself a retard.

Nevermind LonelyGreyWolf.. he tends to act like an elitist jerk.

Anyway, I suggest checking out the Dreamcast and PS2 Berserk games.

Irony. You're a master at it.

The Devil May Cry Anime was the most offensive game-anime relationship I've ever seen. That Anime made me physically angry. even physiologically!

How does one get physically angry?

What about games like Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans or One Piece: Unlimited Adventure? Haven't played either of them, but I was under the impression that these games follow their source pretty closely, and in contrast to the bemus you mentioned they also keep the originals sense of adventure.

Also, Higurashi games are well representive of the story on both mediums. Great Anime and even better Visual Novel. Also, the Manga is quite good as well.

But that's a Persona 4 type deal. The anime is based on the VN and not the other way around.

I suppose it would make you so angry that you have to externalize your anger in some way such as throwing controllers, yelling, and punching something.

That would be the results of anger, not anger itself. Also he said physically and physiologically, which is kind of the same thing.

The way he used it, I took "physically" to mean something material and tangible as opposed to the physiological, intangible emotions he was feeling. Thus he was so angry that he had to act it out in the physical realm in an extreme way. His post is still confusing because he said "not only physically, but physiologically," which is the opposite of what I'd expect. Perhaps he just mixed them up.

To make this post less pointless and off-topic, how about

Chobits GBA

Wii has an hajime ippo game as well and is quite excellent and faithful to material.

Never played the ps2 games so not sure if it was an port or remake or entirely new.

Castle in the Sky -> Grandia

I... what... whoa wow... o.o I never even thought about it before but they do share a similar feeling in some parts that was good thinking :o And thanks for blowing my mind a bit :P

Also when I think of it, how close was the GBA game of Love Hina to the series ?

Indeed, very off-topic.

On topic, I don't think one exists because of the fundamental differences between video games and shows in general. Berserk on the PS2 might be the closest?

I'm frankly a bit surprised that I'm apparently the first person in the thread to mention Super Robot Wars.

I don't know much about SRW series, but I thought it had an original story since it's a cross-over. Was I wrong ?

Not including the OG series (which has anime based on a game), the SRW games are all cross-overs. While they do try to follow the basic plot threads of the animes represented in the games, they do take some liberties with the stories: not killing off characters (Mushashi from Getter Robo,
Zero from Code Geass
), giving characters more backbone than what they had in the actual anime (Shinji from Evangelion), or just being waaaaaay better than the source material (Gundam SEED, seriously).

Don't know about the DBZ game, but One Piece Unlimited Adventure doesn't even follow any plot from the TV series or manga, its a separate story altogether, so really wouldn't count in terms of what this thread is suppose to be about.

Uh...you might want to tag that. One of them I don't know anything about, but the other is a massive spoiler.

Tagged it. I assume its the one you think is a massive spoiler. I didn't bother to tag the other one, because its pretty much a tradition for SRW to keep Musashi alive. It doesn't mean they DON'T kill him off in some games, but its rare enough that its best if I don't mention which games those are, because that would definitely be a spoiler. :p

Bueno. Thanks.

I think this thread will give me some good games to play. I can only put Love Hina: Advance and compared to most other Game boy Advance game of a movie or tv series, it was okay. It was a Visual Novel with QTE.

I played a fan translated version of Love Hina Advance a few years ago. I was always curious about that game. I've read a review in a magazine a long time ago, and I've always been intrigued by the dating sim side of the game. That game introduced me to the anime (which I loved when I first watched it but now I can see that most episodes are fillers, so I don't enjoy it as much) and to japanese dubbed anime in general. Pretty good game and kinda accurate.
