Actually, the reason I'm posting here is mostly that it's the largest English-speaking gaming board on the Internet. I also post on the largest Swedish board. Those are the two languages I know. There are only shy of 10 million Swedes in this world (including Swedes living abroad), so it's not that weird that I seek out English-speaking boards when looking for a bigger audience. And believe it or not, English was not created by Americans!
I was shocked at how small the population of Australia and Canada were, and now I'm even more shocked at how small the population of Sweden is. I'm not saying a small population is a good or bad thing, it's just surprising to me for some reason. I mean, California alone has three times the population of Sweden. Just California. And there are more Mormons in the world than there are Swedes. That's pretty amazing.
Whether they are more powerful or not doesn't matter. In Europe the trucks have to meet the emission standards though, and those standards become more strict every few years. Therefore there isn't any motivation to build the most powerful trucks in Europe unless you want to sell them outside the EU.

the US has better technology, quality of life etc. over empires of the past only because of global progress of humanity... the US is not even a model of knowledge, ethics etc. in today's world.
And it has been in a leading position for less than a century (and its importance is already decreasing), which is nothing in the scale of History.
I don't deny the US may be the most powerful nation today, but comparing it to real empires in History is exaggerated.
Probably not. Only about 30 people in the US care about soccer. But that's what makes it special for us. Beating England in a sport we don't care about when it's important to them. Like beating Canada in hockey.
WOW when you are a country with so much people that you could compare it to continents, this easily backfires. When you have almost ten times the amount of registered players as Finnland or Sweden and 50 times more then slovakia. You shouldn't say that no one cares. You almost have the same amount of hockey players as canada.
I would like to see some stats for "soccer" but im pretty sure that it would be a large number of Euro countries with a lesser amount of players that would beat you bloody ten times a week.
But this is about trucks and US trucks are far superior. So manly, so sexy.

I love, LOVE super sarcastic, flamboyant patriotism, no matter the country. Especially when two people go head-to-head with really obvious dick measuring stuff, because it's just so totally absurd. In that respect, this thread is so, so awesome.
I am amazed, though, that there are people who are taking it seriously and getting offended by it. So much of this thread is a joke and people fucking around, then people come in and act butthurt about it, which only stokes the flames of the people fucking around.
It's like two friends who go to different colleges. It's a friendly rivalry between the US and Europe. Chill out overthinkers.
Why the hell does this extreme nationalism even exist in the era of globalization. Honestly both sides of this argument seem pretty retarded to me. Right now I'm wearing a shirt made in the USA, jeans made in Italy and shoes made in China. The world: fuck yeah.
Just wow at the "LOL stupid Euros don't know how big America is". Tell that to the truckers who, for example, regulary drive from Madrid to Helsinki and back. Or Denmark-Turkey etc.
You know both the routes you mentioned are more than six hundred miles shorter than New York to Los Angeles, right? And more than 900 miles shorter than Miami to Seattle?
If it wasn't self evident, I'll state it in simple terms. There is no way you can compete on cultural history when you don't have one. At least not to the extent that Europe has.
Not only that, but there are no modern shakesperes, darwins etc.
It's just a bit of fun... Mental sparring and what have you...

As always, the superiority of a vehicle is to be found in its racing pedigree. One needs only compare what Americans call "truck racing" to what Europeans call "truck racing".

Well, I watch mostly horror movies, and there haven't been many worthwhile horror films from the US in quite a while. And most of the worthwhile films are remakes of European films.

Ah no, not at all. Missed out on the centuries-of-dominance bit (or at least not enough centuries to make the top three, but still ahead of the Yanks so far).
On the other hand, if you'd mentioned the Industrial Revolution then we'd be talking - but you'd have to include the Scots as well and possibly the Welsh.
Very few decent American DJs in the genres I like. Kaskade and technically Keoki, who was raised in America but born elsewhere. Holland is ridiculously stacked in this area by contrast.
In America, we also know the definition of the word fake. That is not a poster, nor is it fake. It simply comes from a different source (ARWU) than the one you used.
You wake up in the morning, turn off your electric alarm clock, walk into the the bathroom and take a piss in your flushing tiolet. When grabbing breakfast you'll probably pull some milk out the refrigerator and maybe open some tinned food. Maybe you'll read the morning paper fresh off the printing press or watch some TV while eating. On the way to work you might be late, so why not just phone the boss. He probably won't care anyways, he's probably golfing.
If you're unlucky enough to get ill then you're lucky to be an American. Being a first world country you have access to medicines, such as penicillin and insulin. Insulin alone saves countless lives each year. You've also go stuff like MRI machines and ultrasound scanners which can be used for diagnosis purposes.
Being an American must be really awesome.
All of the bolded was invented by Scots. Small countries matter too.

Edit: Seriously, this post means nothing to me. What are you refering to? What's the lie? Is it that America's great, or the inventions or that small countries matter too?
I spent 2 days with a guy who was into this when I was there on vacation. Also drove the truck for a few meters. Apart from it being dangerous as fuck it was a pretty cool experience
