I agree with the rest of your list but you can't deny the greatness of "Sunday, Bloody Sunday", "One", "With or without you" and "So Cruel." The rest of their catalogue can be burned though.

I can't really stand either for the most part. "Bother" by Stone Sour is one of the worst songs I've ever heard and reminds me of the theme song from the movie "The Last Unicorn."

Smash Mouth are graduates of the Steve Miller School of Rhyming. In other words, I want Smash Mouth to STOP EXISTING AND STOP HAVING EXISTED.

And Stone Sour is some kind of parody band, right? That is the only conclusion that could possibly justify the music they make.

Sounds like you're just naming off whatever bands EA thought were trendy for their latest release w/ EA Trax.

As an aside, I used to sort of like Less Than Jake 7 or 8 years ago. I don't know why... they weren't that bad, but they weren't that good, either. Probably 'cause most of the shit on the radio sucked almost as bad then as it does now.

Those lyrics are completely wrong, but you could easily plug them into the song and it would probably make just as much sense.

I used to blast Hello Rockview and Loser, Kings, and Things We Dont Understand and a bit of Pezcore when I was in college. If nothing else, their songs had some serious, frantic energy.

From what I've heard of their more recent stuff, it seems they've reeled it back a bit, tightened things up, for better or for worse.

Now that I'm feeling nostalgic, I think I'll try to catch up on a lot of the stuff I missed by them and others I used to listen to...

Sugar Ray's first album was moderately entertaining, and even had some pretty hot coverart. Everything afterwards is afterbirth.

Smashmouth is terrible, but there are several bands who are worse than them. Story of the Year, Hawthorne Heights, every one of the boy bands from the late 90s/early 00s, Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu, Crazy Town? All worse than Smashmouth. Unfortunately, Smashmouth covered the brillaint "The Christmas Song" by the Raveonettes. Die die die.

The album's third single, "Butterfly", became one of the biggest selling singles of the year worldwide, reaching #1 in the US Hot 100 for two weeks in 2001. The song included a sample of the Red Hot Chili Peppers song "Pretty Little Ditty". It was an instant favorite among TRL audiences, and received significant airplay on MTV. Later in 2001, the band performed on MTV's Spring Break and appeared on the main stage at Ozzfest. The song was also featured on the VH1 special "40 Worst Songs Ever"...

Changes to the line-up included "Squirrel" (a.k.a. Kraig Tyler) replacing Rust Epique on guitar, and former Shuvel drummer Kyle Hollinger taking over percussion from JBJ. None of the band's subsequent singles came close to the success of "Butterfly", causing many to label the band as a one hit wonder. I had a conversation yesterday about this very subject with some people.
After some long druken discussion, we indeed came to the conclusion that there is no band worse in sell-out factor than Smash Mouth. It was down to them and Sugar Ray in the finals.

I just listened to Crazy Town's other singles that Lyte Edge posted, "Darkside" and "Toxic". Truly a horrible band.
