Is there actually anything cool one can do with the PS3 web browser?

I use the webbrowser for youtube and hulu in the living room.

Flash 9 is still pretty widely used, so many Flash app can run but memory is a problem.

The webbrowser is competent as a media library browser and playback for my DLNA server. Most (all ?) DLNA servers have problems fast forwarding HD video across the net. Streaming HD video to the web browser and fast forwarding works though (even for huge 1080i files). Copying the video locally to play is still the best.

^NSFW! (if you didn't guess).

Anyway, I generally avoid the PS3 browser; it's likely improved a lot since I last used it, but Firefox/Chrome give me perfection already.

The Wii's Opera browser will always be my second choice, if pushed. It's nicely polished, easy to use, and browsing youtube on the main TV with friends can be a lot of fun.

The actual BBC iplayer works now. It seems to be slightly lower quality than iplayer on the PC, but it's still perfectly watchable.

I used to use it to download podcasts and stuff that I wanted to listen to in the living room. Also used to download the 1Up Show to watch on the PS3... :(

I was looking for the right thread to bump, so I ended up picking this one.

Pandora.com now works in the PS3 browser. Well, let's say it works 95%.

The music playing works, which is the most important, but managing your profile and bookmarked songs doesn't work, new browser windows don't pop up correctly.

Yes, the Amazon MP3 store works great now, you can preview songs and buy and download directly to your PS3's hard drive.

So yeah, I am totally happy about pandora.com working on the PS3. It will get a lot of use.
OH SNAP!!!@!@!

first the Windows Mobile version finally drops, then it works on PS3? SWEEEEEEEET

I wish Pandora was available to UK users, we have Last.FM but that doesn't seem to want to work in the PS3 browser.
