Topic says it. I thought I saw a topic about one of these on here a while ago-- search brought up nothing and google only brings up stuff about the logitech controllers.

Is there an official one out or coming out at some point?

There's an official one, but Logitech makes it.

A lot of people swear by it, but personally, I don't like the shape or the feel.

huh, so it isn't just a dualshock without the wire?

I've seen the Logitech precision, but never a straight up Sony-branded wireless controller.

I saw one in Circuit Shitty that looked similar to a silver DualShock 2... it said "officially licensed". I don't remember who made it.

Yep. It's a Logitech wireless controller that Sony has let them brand as the "official" wireless controller.

Same here.

Try it in your hands first and make sure you can return it just in case. I remember the buttons on the Logitech wireless for the Xbox required way too much pressure to work, so I returned it. Didn't like the shape of the Xbox one either actually.

Yah I saw some of these at Target... the packaging is almost identical to the DualShock 2, same shape, yellow packaging and everything. They are made by a company called Katana. They have the PlayStation hologram as they are officially licensed.

Back when I had a PS2 I LOOOOVED the Logitech CAC. There is no question about it. GET IT!

Oh, and after my recent, disasterous run-in with the Nyko ZERO Wireless controller for PS3...I will NEVER buy any other third party brand other than Logitech again in life ever as long as I breath and the Earth still revolves around the life-permitting Sun.

Hi Apossum. ;)

I'm the one that purchased the Katana wireless controller and the Rocky IV figure lolol...

I own both the Katana wireless controller and the newer Logitech wireless...

As far as controllers go, if you like the dual shock, stick to Katana... If you're a fan of the Logitech and it's bigger throw around the analog stick areas, go with that.

Tested with fighting games mainly. Slight lag, maybe a frame or half a frame. Not 100% sure. Didn't go balls out on the testing process.

Tried it with a Pelican PS2/PS3 USB converter and the lag was a bit worse on the PS3.

Nonetheless, one of the better PS2 wireless controllers on the market. I like it a tad more than the Logitech one.

Heya Markman :) Thanks for the impressions. I'll have to give a look at the Katana when I go to the store.

i have the logitech one... the shape isn't as nice as the ds2 - the "handles" are closer to parallel instead of more angled (which i prefer). the analogs have way better resistance and feel however. "clickier" buttons and a round d-pad instead of the sony-style four-button layout isn't a big issue for me either way.

it works flawlessly and for ages without battery replacement. wirelessness makes it worlds better than the ds2 overall.

Do not buy the katana brand controller. I did, only to find the buttons are shitty to push, with far too much resistance. Or is it just mine?

I also hate the buttons, sticks and ergonomics of the Logitech one. I have given up on ever finding a good wireless dualshock.

Get the Logitech, it's a good pad and the batteries last forever.

Agree. I also like the ergonomics of the controller better than the Dual Shock 2 but it is heavier than the DS2 and waaaay more heavy than the SIXAXIS. Works perfectly and has a great range.

Logitech really is the best accesory manufacturer out there.

I just bought a refurb of the logitech controller on eBay. It's fabulous (after a thorough wipe down with rubbing alcohol :lol), but the D-Pad feels rather loose. Sometimes it misses a press unless I press firmly. Is this normal?

Sorry for the bump but I just want to know if there's anyone here having problems using the Logitech Cordless Action with MGS3? I noticed that you need to press harder for any of the buttons to work in that game. I've tried the controller with other games including MGS2 and found no problems.

Sorry for the bump...

I'm looking for a wireless PS2 controller which retains the shape and feel of the official Dual Shock 2 controller. Thus the recommended Logitec CAC controller and SEGA Surf Wave controller are both not applicable.

Does anyone have any experience with either of these two 3rd party controllers?

Daaayum. So many people in this thread are banned at this point. i'm scared

But seriously, the Amazon reviews for those controllers don't look too favorable. I'd pass on both of them. Can't beat those prices, though.

I love the Logitech one.

It fits my hands just fine, and has a battery life of over 60 hours, which is just insane.

I bought one and gave one to my nephew. Very nice controller. Feels just right and lasts a while.
