Waxjambu is indeed tasty. Like a more watery apple. Quite a subtle flavour, but extremelly refreshing!

My grandparents used to have a farm. The main crops were lychees and peaches (good choices!) but they had single trees of many obscure fruits. I pretty much loved the shit out of all of them.

Waxjambus were one my favourite, but for years after they sold the farm I never came across any trees/fruit. I finally found a waxjambu tree in someones yard covered in fruit last summer after almost 10 years of searching... it was a great day.

Watermelon isn't even the best melon. that would be honey dew. Now, I'll admit that watermelon is a more robust fruit, meaning most watermelon you choose taste good and there's not a lot of variation in the quality of taste. Honey dew is a bit more temperamental in that what you typically get in a fruit salad is fairly tasteless and/or not sweet. But if you get a perfectly right honey dew, that is just pure heaven.

So, if you mean that watermelon is the best because there's little chance of getting one that tastes bad, then yeah. As for the best tasting fruit, there are so many more.
