The guy's rich enough and popular enough that he can film movies that he has fun acting in. They may not be fun to watch but it's like playing make believe but getting money for it.

And that's just based off this teaser trailer. It doesn't look good to me but his career is far from dead. He still releases movies and acts in shows / other stuff that I love.
