Is Xenoblade in stock anywhere?

I preorded my Italian copy from amazon.it. Yes in Italy Xenoblade debuts on september the 2nd. I hope it will surpass NoE expectiations.

Too bad. Even if it had been released on August 19, we would have not been able to buy it since all shops were (are) closed :D

Oh, that is great news! ...Now if only NoA would listen and bring this title here :(
Reggie is too busy checking boxes and boxing checks.

Stock is low. Some stores have not even received their initial shipments yet apparently. I ordered from cd-wow in July, and they are only getting their stock on the 29th apparently, sold out everywhere.

How big was the initial shipment? I'm kind of wondering about NoE's sales expectations.
In France, from what I have heard, it was 38k (8k for collector edition and 30k for normal edition).

They are offering the CE for 85€ :lol (For the lulz: That's roughly 120US$)

Man they raised the price then. I got it for for like 98 bucks shipped. Amazon.de shipped to me and I am in the US.

That really sucks for the OP and don't know what to say other than good luck. But I am really happy to see this doing so well. Hope it doesn't end up being price-gouged to hell on Ebay and elsewhere, but from the few sales I saw it already looks that way.

Fuck you NOA. Seriously. Fuck you.

You know, that´s really going to turn into a disaster, when Xenoblade is announced for the USA, and nobody buys it because anyone interested imported it.

I probably would, seeing as how I'm never going to get my import I bought like 2 weeks ago. Yeah I'm bitter.

I wouldn't know. Though don't do Zavvi if they get more in stock. Specially if you live in the US. Could wait like a month before getting it. :(

I'm trying to get my copy from them, shipped almost 2 weeks ago. 12 days to be exact.

Again, you're too impatient. You aren't used to ordering stuff from overseas, as indicated by your "I'll just buy stuff from NOE from now on comment" and then balking at the resulting cost difference, so it's understandable. If you want guaranteed delivery time, you have to pony up the sizable extra cash to do it. Otherwise, you just need to be more patient.

Are import numbers ever tracked? I know it won't account for a lot, but I'm curious to see how many importers purchased the game.

It's in Stock at local retailers here everywhere I believe. Both versions.
Though I don't know if they ship abroad.

Since i couldn't resist the hype i had to order a copy of the game (including the controller). Got it yesterday.
But i am not going to play it until i finish my BA thesis... .

Don't worry about it, I preordered from game.co.uk and it finally came yesterday. Only problem is I don't have a spare SD card sitting around so it's off to the store today before the hurricane destroys everything :P

The amount of people who import something is historically very small. As seen by popular import games in Europe -- remember Demon's Souls? It took a year until it came from NA to Europe, and it still sold well.

And you have no reason to be, import can take a long time, especially with free shipping.

Nintendo really dropped the ball with this. It was getting glowing reviews everywhere and they still under-stocked. They've probably lost out of quite a lot of sales and time in the sales charts.

Sennorin said:
Well, what I´d like to know is if it sold well enough to justify the localization, from a pure financial aspect. That´s the most important.
While 3 in the individual chart and 7 in the overall chart isn't usually an earthshattering number this time of year, Xenoblade only sold 141,000 copies in Japan, so I imagine this will do more than that in Europe, and it obviously beat NoE's expectations by quite a bit.

This means it would be totally logical to any other company to localize, since it is already in English to boot, but NoA can be particularly stubborn.

Xenoblade sold between 4,900 and 6,600 copies its first week in the UK. See below. I'm not sure if this is enough for Reggie, since it obviously beat NoE's expectations, but that's not a lot of copies.

Amazon.de has the game in stock. No idea if they ship to all/outside of Europe though.

Dunno about all of Europe, but the CCPro Bundle they shipped me last week is only a couple days from arriving here in Chicago. Cost me ~$90 to order, shipping and all, but I really had no choice, as my bank card wasn't working for any of the UK sellers mentioned in this thread or the Xenoblade thread.

Small price to pay if the game did in fact get a smallish print run. Seems almost...Atlus-esque.

Wait, did it?

That'd be believable for spot three as it's happened quite a bit this Summer, at which point I'd rescind my previous post, but I was estimating based on Zumba doing ~40K normally.

Thanks. I'll quote that here for others.

Eh, I haven't.

I am still waiting on my copy as well. If the game is hard to find now that must be good news for it sales wise.

Sorry about your situation OP, it looks like you might have to wait till the next shipment arrives.

It was 6600 for the week but the chart only cover one day.

The week ends on the Saturday and the game was only released on the Friday.

After Reggie's comments about monitoring its sales in Europe NoA is secretly choking the supply so they don't have to bother localizing it. Diabolical!

You obviously don't know how easy and risk-free it is to mod a Wii these days.
In the time between his post and when he reads yours he could have made his Wii region free.

Yeah, but then you have to try and get the game shipped to you within the next decade.

Europe is more than just the UK. Especially RPGs tend to do better in other European countries.

True, but in terms of what sells, it does tend to be like America more than Germany or France.

If this wasn't Nintendo, I would be questioning if it would be localized though. Just about any niche publisher would love to do it.
