I have yet to see any peer-reviewed studies that show words cause long-lived physical/mental harm.
If there *were* such studies, then an argument to ban games like Grand Theft Auto would rapidly ensue.

Suggestion: stiffen your upper-lip and realize words are mostly unimportant.
