You keep saying that Nintendo has always done this, but it is new to the WiiU/3DS generation. They don't list the complete lineup of
"Nintendo Selects" in the Nintendo link above (as it was basically a press release for the Wii Mini). I looked it up and there were 11 which is way less than previous generations, but Europe got almost double that number. In the N64, GC, and Wii generations they had official names for these reissue lines, but they also did this during the NES and SNES days too, but without the official name. Nintendo definitely has a history of selling their old games. I am fairly new to 3DS and don't own a Wii U so all of this is quite a change for me. I guess my history with Nintendo extends more than five years. There was a thread about Pikmin 3 being hard to find so I believe you that this is Nintendo's new style, but it is definitely a change.
I guess with eshop I can still get the games until the platform is killed, but I don't like Nintendo's licensing system and I don't really don't like to pay full price for digital. Digital is definitely more profitable for Nintendo since there is no manufacture, no shipping, and no overstock. I wish they would lower the price, but I wonder if a lower priced OoT is too much competition for Majora's Mask.
