Given that they were asking players what they liked/didn't like about the first game during a live stream, a sequel in the works shouldn't really surprise anyone.

This shouldn't be a surprise. Bravely Default was a real breakout success. I imagine the series will stay focused on 3DS and substitute for FF games.
