Wonder what you guys would say if it was Kojima instead.

Lemme see...

Hmm, quite surprisingly, I would go something along the lines of 'That sucks,man.'

Which, somehow, was the same reaction I had when I read the OP.

Bros before hos

Hehe that just made me think of House.

On the Itagaki subject is anyone that surprised after semen-Rachel? Whether or not it's true, he certainly makes himself a target for 'where there's smoke, there's fire' type stuff.

The idea that I or anyone who would all of a sudden condone adultery because it's Kojima instead of crater-face is absurd.

Surprised? A little, honestly. Now, if that scene in NG had involved a monster in sunglasses trying to drag Rachel into a love hotel, and it was her frightened tears that made this monster explode in a spray of spunk-like goo, then I'd say you're onto something (and also say that Itagaki's carrying around a shitload of repressed guilt). But creating pervy visual imagery for games by itself doesn't necessarily make a person more inclined to sexually harass people IRL, IMO.

Is hard to belive this news, but I´m not going to judge it until I see a firm sentence from a tribunal o something. If this news are true I´m pretty sure he was drunken like.....most of the time.

Funny, people like Jon Stewart found plenty of humor in the Bill O' Reilly sexual harrassment episode and the recent Mark Foley scandal.

I don't think your initial foray into this thread was nearly as bad as "who's a pimp!" bs, but you might take note of the fact that the humor you're referencing in both cases was about how pathetic or creepy the harrassment was, and not that Foley was a mack daddy pimp for trying to score with 15 year old boys.

The fact that you actually think rooting for Itagaki is right in any capacity blows my mind. It could be ****ing Miyamoto. I don't give a shit. That shit is ****ed up, and I'm not about to call him a pimp.

Last I checked, gents, forcing myself on women did not make me a pimp.

As long as you keep asking.

I guess we won't see him interviewed for a while :lol :lol :D :lol
And anyway if he's guilty what a disappointment and what a pervert ^^''

Sure, these peoples' lives may be ruined, but how does that affect Ninja Gaiden 2??!!!~~

The old story for NG2 has been scratched. Now the game is set in modern times, where Ryu has given up being a ninja for the more humble life of video game design. Only he has fallen in love with a succubus, from hell! Who has no interest in him and only wishes to do her job. Well Ryu can’t stand for this so he revives his old life as a ninja to get his ultimate desire.

Also all levels are being re-designed to only take place in hotels, taxis, and small reception rooms.

That is funny and the right way to look at this from a gamers point of view.
Not all the "teh lolz, +1 respect" BS from repressed teen boys in here.

Grow up and realize that its actually not that cool or great to be accussed of something like this. He obviously did SOMETHING that was shady, and he has a wife and kids. Idiots.

news story: A 25 year-old female was raped and her purse was stolen, rapist still on the loose.

irl convo: Dude Dan, this is so ****ed up, I hope they find that dickless wonder

internet: haahahahaha!! bitch got raped LOLOLOL!!1 guys my ****in hero i hope they never find him!!

I guess that means:
PS3 ports of:
-Dead or Alive 4
-Dead or Alive Xtreme 2

And multiconsole:
-Ninja Gaiden 2
-DoA: Code Cronus

hehehe..

Can't read it as I don't know japanese, but I find sexual harassment to be pretty bunk nearly ALL the time. Still I could see Itagaki being the type of guy who really stepped over some lines.

"Basically Itagaki was sued for sexual harassment by a female ex-employee who did PR job for Tecmo. I heard a rumor about it before but thought it was a joke that arose from the nature of the DOA series. But the reality is sometimes stranger than games!

According to the article, it began 3 years ago when Itagaki and she got on a taxi after a karaoke party. It was after Itagaki's dialog with some corporate executive for a magazine article, so it's in working hours. In the taxi Itagaki said "you've married, right?" and kissed her without her consent then touched her body. She couldn't resist in fear of Itagaki, but when he tried to take her to a hotel she cried so he gave up. Of course Itagaki has a wife and a child.

After that Itagaki repeated harassment, sometimes he locked the reception room in the company and hugged her in that room. At the E3 in the last year, he visited her hotel room disguising as if it's related to his job, and insisted on having a sexual relationship with her.

In this year she became mentally ill and often absent from the office. Until July the company didn't listen to her but the new personnel manager started counseling for sexual harassment so she asked an advice. Then Tecmo investigated Itagaki but he denied though he admitted he did a kiss. Itagaki was demoted for an undisclosed reason, but he stayed there without a change in his work and the company gave no explanation about it. Tecmo told her that it couldn't be identified as sexual harassment, so she quit her job and sued Itagaki and Tecmo in September for 10 million yen. She's 31 now. Tecmo disagrees with what she believes and is ready to go to the court. "

Its on Page 5. The OP should update the first post with this.

Yep. :)

And this girl is SO going to lose this case.

Why? Its your standard girl at the office; just waiting for the PERFECT opportunity to screw over ANYONE in the company, and HURT the company in the process.

For christ's sakes. The girl got dissed by the execs, because of her tone.

I swear, women at work are more greedy than the men.
Wow. Yeah, it's her fault that he touched the boobies, she handed them to him, what a golddigger, all them women just think how to suck money off great companies like Team Ninja, and especially around the innocent MASTER Itagaki himself.

even if it was consensual, don't forget the guy has a wife and kids. willing to **** up all of their lives just for a fling. what a dick.

That is why you are the man TheTrin. That is the exact truth.

I don't condone adultery, but I also don't see people holding Clinton or Jesse Jackson to the same standards with which they're using to hang Itagaki.

For those of you not living in Japan or unfamiliar with Japanese civil code:
(Judicial divorce--causes)
Article 770. Husband or wife can bring an action for divorce only in the following cases:
(1) If the other spouse has committed an act of un-chastity;
(2) If he or she has been deserted maliciously by the other spouse;
(3) If it is unknown for three years or more whether the other spouse is alive or dead;
(4) If the other party is attached with severe mental disease and recovery therefrom is hopeless;
(5) If there exists any other grave reason for which it is difficult for him or her to continue the marriage.
2. Even in cases where any or all of the grounds mentioned in items (1) to (4) inclusive of the preceding paragraph exist, the Court may dismiss the action for divorce, if it deems the continuance of the marriage proper in view of all the circumstances.

You have got to be kidding. Both of the two you mentioned have tons of people that can't stand them for that exact reason.

Sorry, I couldn't find an English translation of the Criminal Codes defailing sexual harassment but maybe I failed at google. Here are the codes that you are probably interseted in:
Criminal Code Articles 176(indecency), 223(extortion), 230(defamation). Of those 3 the only one that Japan takes semi-seriously in the case of office sexual harassment is 223(extortion). Very few cases are won when 176 and 230 are the main points of the case (like here, in Itagaki's case)

You can't be serious, they are all family wrecking d-bags. One was once President of the United States. Puh-lease.

I feel sorry for all these dudes, if anything, lives will really never be the same again for them and their families.

I'm not. I know plenty of people who continually splooge over Clinton, even after he's been out of office for over 6 years. My point is, in this day and age, adultery doesn't really have that much of an effect on people, a la Desperate Housewives and crap. It's become ingrained in our culture that adultery is not a bad thing. Personally, I don't support it, but who am I to say anything about it without sounding like a redneck conservative?

The reason people splooge over Clinton is because he was a good ass president. Look at who we have now! Yea, Monica sucked his cock...he was an ass for cheating on his wife, just like anyone else is. And again..you have a ton of people who hate Clinton's guts.

I'm not trying to sound condescending, but, I don't really see how your point fits. There difference between not viewing it as a big thing and actively supporting the person who has been accused of it...especially when a wife and kids is involved.

People will always watch shows for entertainment. I don't really think that it has come to the point that nobody views adultery as a bad thing at all. If that was the case, I don't think the divorce rate would be as high as it is now.

I only brought up adultery because Kittonwy mentioned it. Anyways, my final thoughts on the matter are that this seems as if it's a case of he said, she said. Thus, innocent until proven guilty. As far as "Crater-face" goes, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now, just as I did with Kobe.

This is something you always thought, but never thought it'd actually be true....actually on second though, maybe deep down inside we all did.

Well, that ruins the "is DOA exploititive?" debate.

Over the years I've talked to a lot of people who consider the content of DOA vulgar. I just think it's a pretty girl fighting game, and I don't see anything wrong with it. Now these puritanical types have ammo, I suppose.

DOA is officially sleazy now :(
