I just recently have gotten into this show, but, Charlie is already one of my favorite sitcom characters ever! It seems to me he is an uber-retarded George, with no parents. Meaning; he has a hope for a better tomorrow.

Or i am justreally drunk.

You are really drunk, but Charlie is still awesome.

A gif needs to be made of Charlie's grin after he says that he like ghouls.

This, Curb & The Office = good times :)

Mac and Dennis getting increasingly frustrated with Charlie's answers to the profile questions was the best part for me.

Was Charlie's date someone I may have seen before? She looked very familiar. (And very cute.)

And I agree with earlier posts: seeing the waitress in that wedding dress was fantastic.

that ghoul sound was perfect.

Mac: "We've got your milk boiling over hard"

*Charlie looks happy*

:lol

one of my favorite parts. Charlie instantly believed Mac for some reason. "Oooh, you're gonna love this!!"

I'm surprised no one mentioned the "can you guys wear some knee socks" when dennis and mac were leaving charlie's place

Was anyone bummed there wasn't a scene with Dee dumping the dude after his face is all poxed with hornet stings? The earlier seasons were always good at tying up the ending.
That's where I thought it was going... not specifically that Dee would dump him, but that he would be 'pizza face' again.

i was thinking of that as well. she could run to the bar to tell the gang that she's getting married... charlie could explain its a hoax, she doesnt believe it... yada yada... goes to his place and finds out he's pizza face once again... dumps him

they really need a part 2!

Oh man, episode 5 is really the greatest one I've seen in ages. Good stuff.

But, I'm starting to really hate Dee. Especially drunk Dee with the voice and acting stuff. Ugh, enough to make my skin crawl.

"you ain't gettin shit, you old bitch!"
:lol

I loved Dennis his look when Dee is talking about breaking up the wedding and getting Brad back in the beginning of the episode, he's like whaat O_o.

dennis' reactions to dee have gotten so funny over the course of the show... i'd love to see this gif

Dee is funny, but not the funniest. I still kind of wish Frank wasn't on the show. It was much better before he joined. I'm not sure if the decrease in overall season quality is due to him or just worse writing.

That and combination of put downs that usually go with them. Not sure if it was Mac or Dennis who said it but reaction to Dee trying to break up the engagement had me in stitches. Charlie took the episode especially with the ending.

Whut Frank is awesome

Yeah Frank is easily my least favorite character. I'd love to see him slip into a recurring role like Artemis and Cricket.

Frank was great in the second season, but has since, like most characters, become an extreme version of what he used to be.

They need to tone everything down. Less is more, and the more grounded the better.

Probably one of the best quotes from the series

Charlie: This bar runs on trash. It's totally green now.
Dennis: How is burning trash green?
Charlie: I could stick it in a landfill, where it's gonna stay for millions of years, or I could burn it up and let it disappear into the sky where it turns into stars.
Mac: That doesn't sound right, but I don't know enough about stars to dispute it.

:lol :lol

I agree (though I haven't generally liked Artemis, either).

I think Devito's acting as Frank is pretty terrible overall, actually. Just doesn't seem like his A-game. Very stilted imo.

I think they've been doing a good job of toning it down a bit this season so far, back to season 3 levels of crazy. Last season was a bit too much, "Who pooped the bed?" was just silly.

I think they've done a good job with Frank becoming more and more deranged each season. If you go back to season 2, he was this intelligent, some-what well mannered middle aged business man. After hanging out with the gang for several years sleeping in Charlie's apartment, he's turned into this deranged alcoholic.

Some people probably call that turning him into an extreme version of old Frank, but I think it was probably something they consciously chose to do in an attempt to make the character "develop." If Sunny stayed the same way it was during season 1, it never would have:

1) Lasted this long
2) Been this outstandingly funny

Whenever I go back and watch the first season, I sometimes wonder what exactly made me stick with this show past the first season, since it really isn't anything spectacular. That's not to say it was bad, but it wasn't as special as it is now. If I try and recall something from season 1 I found as fucking hilarious as "wildcard bitches" or the pissjar out the window, I draw blanks.

edit: And if they are turning the character's into extreme versions of themselves, at least the show was never grounded entirely in reality to begin with, like the Office. That show is so fucking awful now, I can't even believe it.

All the characters became extreme versions of themselves, though. Dee used to be somewhat intelligent and normal as well. Mac and Dennis were still douchebags back then, but they weren't complete morons like now.

They're all slowly morphing into Charlie.

Dee the character is hilarious so it adds a lot of hotness points for me but her face is sort of beat up as of late.

Also, as I've said every year since Artemis was introduced, we need more Artemis.

What does this mean? They will run reruns on CC or the show will be aired completely on CC? The site is blocked atm while in class, someone explain!

Also, so pumped for tomorrow's episode with the Fanatic Philly.
Reruns.

I know I'm a week late to the party but...

Fantastic episode. Everything worked so well. My favorite of the season. The MASSIVE hornet nest, cobb salad, "full on rapist", it goes on...
