Can't believe it's been that long already. I remember the first time I pressed play on Ready To Die on my Walkman back in '94. Blew me away with his raw lyrics and perfect flow - it's still my favorite hip-hop album ever and I highly doubt any album coming out from these bullshit modern acts will ever top it.

R.I.P. to (one of) the greatest.

I thought this was about some piece of legislation with an acronym I didn't recognize.

I was going to call you a nerd but you're a Suikoden fan so you're cool with me.

GOAT = Greatest Of All Time, fools!

Bump for non-insomniac GAF

Meh. Was more of a Wu-Tang guy. Biggie and Diddy and Mace (was that his name?), that was all girl's stuff to me.
You've... never listened to Ready to Die in it's entirety (or any of the old mixtapes), have you? It's just as hard as Wu's shit. You're thinking of Big's second album, the one Diddy had a bigger hand in and tried to turn Big into a shiny suit wearing sellout.

Still, his first album is an absolute classic and any fan of hip-hop new or old should check it out.

Man I'm old. I remember my Freshman year in highschool--bought the first Bush CD and the Ready to Die single (on cassette!). LOL

Also, RIP.
