Hmm, I love Karaage chicken (Japanese fried chicken), especially with Japanese curry:

Anybody on Gaf from Sydney, needs to go to this Lebanese chicken shop at Granville called El Jannah. It has the best chicken and garlic sauce created by man!

Oh so hungry now.. Ugh, why do I do this to myself? This is just like whenever I check out OnkelC's cooking thread late at night.. :(

I love middle eastern/mediterranean chicken, dam that garlic sauce is so good but so bad for you.

I had some good chicken for lunch today (man, I love Korean food - they like their meat as much as us Scots). Chicken and pork make the world go round.

Garlic sauce is the cum of an angel. I could eat that stuff all night.

Chicken farms are not that nice, most don't hold them in cages like that. When I was a child I used to load a semi every month at a chicken farm, what a shitty job that was! Football sized houses stuffed full of chickens living on tons of their own feces. Some with weird mutations like 3 legs and no beaks and they would eat each other because birds in captivity can turn carnivorous, on and on. Not a pretty site.

But I love me some chicken! There is a shop by my house were you can get a 1/4 white and two sides a drink and bread for 5 bucks!

I've been frying my own chicken for the past few months, but it always turns out bland or burnt. I can't seem to get that awesome crispy crust that you find on fast food fried chicken.

Have you tried using a spice rub?

Is this set up this way so that you can just send a giant saw across and cut off all of their heads at the same time? That would be awesome.

Are you that sadistic? They give us life. They don't deserve to be kept in a cage with 10 other chickens. Half of them, if you see a video, can't walk because they never leave the cage. You sit here and say this horrible joke?

if its coming out burnt you need to lower the temperature that you fry at, lower temperatures and longer cooking times = moist chicken.

How are you frying? (Pan fried? Deep fried?) I pan fry my chicken from time to time and all that's needed is a liberal dose of spices. Dry the chicken before applying the spices.

In a pan, I cover the chicken for 30 minutes (at Medium High) turning halfway. Then put the heat higher without the cover for 5 minutes, turn the chicken and let it sit for another five (so the exterior crisps). This gives you that nice crisp exterior moist interior chicken.

Here's some I'm taking to eat at work tonight:

I usually fry mine 3.5 minutes on each side. I've tried to cook them longer, but they always end up burnt. I don't see how that 30 minutes tomfoolery works.

look for a Chinese restaurant that specializes in Sichuan or Hunan style foods both regions are known for their literal mouth-numbing use of red peppers.

I know about the peppers, but is it a specific dish?

I bet you're a vegetarian. Excuse me while I eat this delicious steak.

La Zi Ji. Literally translated to Spicy Pepper Chicken, I think.

Sadly, I have never found a place that serves La Zi Ji in America.

The best you can hope for is La Zi Ji Ding, which is nearly identical except the chicken is sauteed instead of fried, and they use jalapeno peppers instead of red chili peppers.

Also note, Zyzyyzyzxyzx is referring to Chinese restaurants you find in places where every store within a mile radius is Chinese or Korean or, on occasion, Japanese. You won't find these kind of places in the middle of urban centers (unless it's a Chinatown).

If any Okies see this, they will know the greatness that is Eischen's Fried Chicken in Okarche. Guy "Uber Douche" Fieri is in town this week shooting at 6 restaurants for upcoming shows of Triple D and Eischen's is one of them.

YUMMO!

God I'm so hungry now.

We're eating chicken in an ever increasing pace so the farmers have come up with an awesome solution to keep up with the demand and to minimize labor.

Ladies and gentlemen I give you the ChickXpress!

For a second I thought the thread was about celebrating our love of children. Oh well I'll post in here anyway. My favorite chicken recipe:

Chicken San Marino:
Chicken breast pounded flat then wrapped around a piece of Prosciutto-wrapped-Gruyere, breaded, fried in butter and baked, then served in a cognac cream sauce.

I'm pretty sure hes just joking around. Look I consider myself a "buddhist" and I always try to respect the life that is taken so I can eat but this thread isn't about preaching animal rights but to acknowledge the wonderful meat known as chicken.

ALthough I'm all for animal rights and wish more farms would adopt free-range raising methods its not something I'm gonna preach in the thread as if it'd make a difference.

now back to delicious chicken

If anybody is near Pasadena, head to Soumarelo for some finger licking awesome mediterranean chicken, just had some today!

If you live in Miami, I'll refer you to a place that does. And it's delicious.
