it's still the closest one to release out of the 3 you've mentioned, unless you can find littlebigplanet somewhere. they all strike me as looking like top class games and LBP and Fable 2 have both received across the board critical acclaim so i think your only criteria should be "what can i have in my machine right now?"

Fable II

Mirror's Edge is not worth full price. Game is extremely short, it really feels unfinished, and the speedruns and time trials aren't worth it when the main mode last 4-6 hours.

LBP is debatable and it really comes down to which genre you like the best.

For example I'm buying (finally) a 360 next week with Fable 2, and some other random game.

I would go with Fable now, because 1. You can purchase it today, and 2. You have more time to play it before Gears 2 comes out.

None. Wait for awhile a few weeks or so and then pop into Asda. I've already seen Pure, and Mercenaries 2 for £24.99.

lol but Pure and Mercenaries 2 are probably flops, so they ahd to cut prices.

I wouldn't expect neither F2 or LBP to go down so quick. ME will probably do it tho.

I think it comes down to your preference. I hated Fable 1 and think Fable 2 is phenominal.

On the flip side, I am also on the verge of buying a PS3 for just LBP

I'd say go with Fable. Fable you can enjoy right now. While LBP is great, it'll be even better in a month or two when the user created content has kicked in for real.

Mirror's Edge will drop in price faster than Fable or LBP. Buy one of those two. Just pick the one for the system you play less and that will change instantly
