"I've killed my dog, ha ha"

This makes me sad because I just had to give up my dog as I'm moving and just can't facilitate moving him with me. I brought him across country with me after saving him from a shelter in Las Vegas and had him for 4 years, but I just can't do that to him again as the trip was rough on him even then.

But, I didn't fucking hang my dog or shoot him like these scumbags. I gave him to a 54 year old man who has 50 acres of land and plenty of space for him to run around at least.

Still. going to miss him. He was a siberian husky/alaskan malamute mix with blue eyes and brown/white fur.

I think a strong immediate reaction to extreme cruelty is a good thing. Worry more about the people, and other animals, around the "it's only a dog" types.

I'm sure he'll be happy. Dogs love nothing more than being outside and roam freely and have a good owner:)
 
I hate reading this kind of shit, it's really disgusting. Regardless of whether you're an animal person or not (I'd argue people who aren't have never spent any meaningful time with or working around animals), everyone should be sickened by acts of cruelty.

I think anyone who can read a story like this and not be saddened/disgusted is a person missing their capity to empathise. In clinical terms it's a significant indicator of narcissistic personality disorder.

No. I have extreme doubts of the ability of trash like this to be redeemed, have zero belief they will ever be anything but a drain on resources, have a high chance of committing more violent and dangerous acts, and have zero fucking wish for any tax dollars earned by citizens going toward paying for any of their care.

Let their own personal finances and families pay for it. If they can't, fuck 'em.

This kid isn't exactly your average human-being, I don't see why you would condemn humanity over outlier examples of cruelty or abuse.
 
reminds me of that group of kids that murdered a bunch of people in the Ukraine. I think thats how they started out.

is this stuff just as common/rare as it used to be, but with the internet/24hr news we get to know about it more easily, and can get outraged as a group?

Or is it becoming more common as we become homogenised and people crave attention on the web etc?

Sadly it's the second. We as a people have lost our way morally. I'm not talking christian or religious either. I'm talking just right from wrong. We used to have parents who would take time to talk to their kids and to spend time with their kids and teach them what is right and what is wrong. Now days you don't have that. You have too many parents that are content to let the TV, movies, internet, etc raise their kids. They'll buy them this stuff and not take the time to explain that this is bad or this is good. They won't sit down and have dinner with their children or to spend the weekend with them. So it's no wonder more and more kids are getting fucked in the head.

You know as I get older I look back and I think god I had parents who loved me. Sure my dad may have been an asshole but deep down he gave a shit and he did pass along some lessons to me. I learned that you don't hit women, you don't abuse animals, and you don't steal, etc. My mom is a church going woman who loves everyone equally, even those who hate her. I wish more parents would be there for their kids like mine were for me. Maybe the world wouldn't be such a fucked up place. Maybe we'd have a lot less of these inhuman pieces of shit like those who do these things.

But yea. It's a case of this stuff becoming more common as we lose our humanity.

I'm increasingly convinced that up to 10% of the general population are, in fact, psychopaths. Not all of them are violent psychopaths, mind you.

Dog cruelty in particular is an area where, let's just say, I make poor decisions. For instance I would very calmly strangle this kid, knowing it would probably send me to jail and ruin my life. I know I would do it. I try to avoid such situations, it's all I can do.

Reminded me of Ender's Game ever so slightly...

This behaviour is disgusting though. Sure it is one thing to pick on insects/arachnids and other small life (always was curious as to the attitude to killing insects as opposed to larger animals) but to do that to animals that can quite clearly express their feelings of distress is absolute gut-wrenching and a damn insult to the notion of empathy for creatures on this Earth.

Animal cruelty doesn't impact me as much, but really, is there anything that can be done to people who do this? I haven't heard the first case of a successful rehabilitation, and it is indeed the first sign of a sociopath, it always gets worse, throwing away the key seems the only apparent solution.
 
Either his mom doesn't hug him enough, or his dad hugs him too much. Either way it's a cry for help. A cry for sadistic, demonic help. lil bastid.....
