I've made a huge mistake (32k piece puzzle, FINISH FINISHED)

Can't wait to see them all together!

Roughly eight full work weeks spent on a puzzle. That's some crazy dedication. Early congratulations for what you've already done just in that part of things!

Panel 8 timelapse.

You know what's tedious? Making those links that go to the other videos you can click on. Had to be done and aligned and timed manually because the script I used for mass-copying e.g. here no longer works for whatever reason.

I also discovered that while my living room floor will comfortably allow me to lay out the entire puzzle, there's no way in hell I'm going to get a satisfactory angle with the iphone picture field of view. Most likely I'll split the timelapse into right half/left half before taking a bunch of completed pictures.

edit: Putting it together tomorrow. Considered streaming, but nixed the idea for the same reason - there's no real good angle that adequately shows what's going on yet catches the entire completed area. Also definitely doing this last bit during the daytime since indoor lights result in a shit ton of glare.

Angle from as high as the camera will go. For reference, each panel is about two of those floor squares wide. 8 squares = no way, heh. Comfortably will be able to film halves of it though.

That's what I'm doing, tripod from one location, angled left, do left half, angled right, do right half.

I need an IFLOW or something, heh.

After a shit ton of trial and error (since I can't see the phone screen when the phone's up on its mount) finally got the angle right. Just the right time of the day too for lighting.

THAT MEANS FINAL ASSEMBLY NOW

And truly the next-gen in camera mount/timelapse technology:

The fact that the pencil is somehow sufficient as a foothold in that scenario really sells the contraption-ness of it all.

Oh my god I can't believe you actually managed to do this. Absolutely amazing!!

Can't wait to see it fully completed :D

Goodjob!!! The thing I wonder though is what will you do with it? Obviously it won't fit in a table like the 5k one. Will you leave it on the floor? or maybe put it on the wall?
