New scan's up & it seems some characters will appear in the story mode, like Kakashi-sensei & Gaara from Naruto, Koenma from Yu Yu Hakusho, and Zenkichi from Medaka Box.

Had to mention this after seeing the controls for this game in English. This game has a ton of moves to do, especially after watching a gameplay video.

I'm guessing the moves go something like:

Weak - Weak - Weak - Weak - Weak
Weak - Weak - Weak - Weak - Strong
Weak - Weak - Weak - Strong
Weak - Weak - Strong
Weak - Strong
Strong
Dash + Weak
Dash + Strong
Jump + Weak
Jump + Strong
(I'm guessing you can't combo strong moves into weak moves. I'm also guessing this follows the regular fighting game formula where you combo weaks into strongs)

Included is special moves which are:

Special
Jump + Special
Forward + Special

That's a lot of moves for a game that has that big of a roster. Not to mention characters like Naruto whose moves change when they transform.

This is just my prediction after seeing Luffy pull off various moves all starting off the same, but ending different. I'm actually not sure how the combos will be.

That's what everyone said about Tatsunoko vs Capcom.

But most of Tatsunoko's IPs in that game were either long discontinued and forgotten, or never had western rights purchased to begin with. Or any recent video games.

OTOH many of the Jump franchises in this game are still very active (including those that have their actual Jump comics finished a long time ago, like Dragon Ball), and have various companies owning various rights to them outside Japan.

And let's not forget that this is very far from being the first Jump crossover game, and so far absolutely none of them have ever been localized.

It's still not impossible, but very very unlikely.

Is the Saint Seiya stage imaes from an unnounced 3DS version or something ???

Those are some BAD level design and textures there

KENSHIRO'S IN (& Raoh).

YOU WA SHOCK BETTER BE IN THE ANISON EDITION.

Also, during the game, you travel the world by boat and collect “J-Points” in battle, which you can use to enhance their characters or boat at the J-Point Shop.

Also aw crap Tecmo Koei owns the FotNS rights in the USA

Holy moly, it was so good looking at the game in full action finally. Also it seems I was right about the amount of moves. In Luffy's character video, he was pulling multiple moves off.

I'm not sure if this means that the character roster is done? They're already rolling the character videos out now. Guess I'll have to wait and see.

Completely agreed with you, I really like how each character are unique, (especially Kenshin)

Did you really think I'd be making gifs, and not put Goku's Super Saiyan transformation as one?

All I've seen advertised so far is the 2V2 gameplay.
Is there still regular 1V1 matches?

Sorry for the stupid question.

It looks like it. I noticed in the gameplay footage for each character, they were the only character in the lower-left corner, which shows which other characters are on your team/support.

Wonder if they're gonna go in order of reveal for showcasing each character.

The 4th trailer revealed that you can have 1v1 battles, 2v2 battles, 1v2 battles, and whether you can have a support character or not. Not sure if I'm legit on this, but in the trailer they had Gon alone fighting Toriko and Zebra. Then they had Vegeta fighting alone against Ryotsu.

So there's lots of varieties of battles.

Thanks, that's good to hear. 1V1 are my favorite type of matches.

Where is the Fist of the North Star confirmation from? The site doesn't have Kenshiro and Raoh yet.
