Can You Imagine What SureAI Is Going To Do With Garfield?
Does anyone else think when it comes specifically to hard shell tacos, Jack in the Box has the best. I mean, when it comes to fast food hard shell tacos they're amazing. I'm not sure what it is about them I like but I guess I'd have to say they're thin and greasy, in that greasy-good kind of way. Maybe fans of Jack's tacos can explain it better.

They're certainly unique, but hardly the best. Not to mention that tacos are hardly the first thing on my mind when I find myself at Jack in the Box...

I feel bad for non San Diego-ites who don't have access to -berto's drive-throughs.

NOOOO..

Out of all the times I've ever gotten them grease is soaked through the shell and the damn things fall apart while trying to eat them. Also sandwich cheese.

They're... unlike actual tacos, but at the same time I can't help but love them. :( I try to eat around the edge first so I can enjoy the innards, lol.

Not even close. Where do you live that these are the best hard shell tacos you have access to?
Fast food hard shell tacos.

But yes, I've had better tacos in a lot of other places. We have a place called "Tacos Mexico" that has these tiny little carne asada tacos that are pure bliss.

We have Roberto's here in Vegas and yes, they're awesome. Although I prefer their cheese quesadillas.

I like them alright when I'm in the mood for them, but there is too much lettuce in them. Between the shell, the grease, and the lettuce, it's a huge mess to eat one. Also, the new Bacon Ranch Monster Taco gave me really awful diarrhea.

I got food poisoning from their tacos in the mid 90s. I haven't had one since.

Wasn't there a salmonella scare a few years back due to Jack in the Box's lettuce or something? Or was that Taco Bell...?

I think the reason why they're oddly addictive is the weird meat/soy protein mash in the shell.

You're right, it was Jack in the Box. It was the 80's and a few people died, including a young girl. Very sad and unfortunate.

I always make sure to get a couple of them whenever I go to Jack's. I enjoy them with two packets of hot sauce.

For some reason, I enjoy them more than Taco Bell tacos. It must be all the grease in them.

The bars are like three blocks away from JB and I only live like three block further! One of the reasons why I'm stopping my bar trips for awhile.

I thought this thread was going to be a good excuse to get Jack in the Box for dinner.

Now it's a good excuse to get drunk and then get Jack in the Box for dinner.

Done and done.

There you go. I've once ate like $30 dollars of food from there drunk before. Super bad for me.

is that sandwich cheese in a taco

what the fuck

/thread

I actually completely glossed over that when seeing the image initially. I've had Jack in the Box once and never been back. Turned over my fries onto my wrapper and they all came out in a "lump" that was the shape of their container.

Fast food hard shell tacos.

Ah well in that case who is even in the running? Jack in the Box, Burger King, and Carl's Jr/ Hardee's?

I guess I would also put Jack in the Box tacos on top of those other two.

Edit: Wait what the fuck am I thinking. Both Taco Bell and Dell Taco are way better then any of those other tacos.

E.coli Outbreak at Taco Bell, 2006
In December 2006, two fast food taco restaurants had E. coli outbreaks linked to contaminated lettuce. The first involved 71 Taco Bell customers across five states on the East Coast. Eight of those people suffered kidney failure. The second outbreak involved the Taco John’s chain in Iowa and Minnesota, involving a total of 87 people. Following the outbreak, California (where the Taco Bell lettuce came from) enacted stricter standards for handling leafy greens.

I believe I was thinking of this one. D: But I guess that other one had similar consequences.

The most horrible thing you'll ever enjoy. Bad quality meat and veggies, premade in a frozen taco "shell" and deep fried. What is that meat inside...who knows? Why are you asking me these questions... I'm drunk and high and damn these are good.

We need real pictures of these

I checked their website. The closest Jack in the Box is 201 miles away. I don't know if I should be disappointed or relieved.

.... also Taco Bell and Del Taco. Jack's tacos are better than either of those as well.... but then again, Del Taco's burgers are better than Jack In The Box.

The combination of feelings you have are what it's like to consume massive amounts of these tacos.

Also I think the prep goes something like... jam stuffed shell into fryer -> remove -> stuff lettuce and half a slice of cheese in :P

And they also have three different Monster Tacos now... Bacon Ranch/Nacho/Regular. :x I don't think it's worth it to get the upgraded Monster ones, to be honest.

Haven't you ever heard of the "It doesn't look very good, but it's about the taste" from cooks?!

Fuck, no. Jack in the Box's mystery-meat-and-sandwich-cheese-inside-a-flimsy-corn-shell food items (I refuse to use the word taco) are all kinds of disgusting.

Did someone bring up diarrhea yet? Surely someone has to bring up diarrhea every time you talk about fast food.

Surprisingly not before your post.

But it seems to be a rule around here, yeah. If you can eat it or drink it, it probably gave someone from GAF diarrhea. Doesn't matter what it is.

To be honest, I don't think I've ever gotten sick from Jack in the Box... or more specifically, their tacos. I did get sick from a local mom/pop Italian place once, I believe...

See I don't know if they really even taste good. I'm convinced there's something else in them that makes us all like them.

It's the 'beef' and soy protein.

I believe the meat is actually a soy and beef mix. Not healthy but not as bad as some rumored Taco Bell meat in the past.

Hey OP, now show the real image.

Visually speaking, it loosely fits the description of what an Alien who read about human civilization being exposed to the real thing might identify as a taco but lets face it, Its made of two ingredients, oil soaked in taco shells plus artificial cow excrement (lets not mince words here: Jack In The Box Corporation built a giant mechanical cow-shaped factory that essentially takes in Soyliant Pink and other industrial waste in at the mouth-end and the cargo bay conveniently located at the rear of the cow-shaped factory relieves the production tack into trucks ready to deliver) so we are looking at things that are arguably edible but are suspect as food.

what the fuck

You think THAT'S crazy, here in KC there's a northtown tradition called In-a-Tub. It's an independent taco/burger place that's been here forever and the tacos are made with...

POWDERED CHEESE. Like, not dissimilar from what you find in a little envelope inside a box of Kraft mac n cheese. Hell, it might actually be that.

Yep:

But people love that place. In fact I'm kinda craving it now. Definitely one of those "so bad it's good" things.
