For now, I celebrate. Jack Thompson deserves his disbarment. Not because he's wrong. Media geared toward Mature Audiences do not belong in the hands of minors. In that, he and I agree 100%. Jack Thompson deserves to be disbarred because he was a poor lawyer, and a poorer human being. He was rude, callous, and self-serving. He was forever unable to see the Beam in his own eye while searching for the mote in the eyes of others.

the funniest part is that i can tell him 'i told you so'. years ago, i tried to tell him that the WAY he presents his case makes him the ultimate straw man. of course, he just insulted me in response even though i was trying to tell him that i had no problem with a government enforced rating system (if that makes your head explode check out 'This Film Is Not Yet Rated' for a similar argument against films).

of course, he had to insult me and throw out insane press releases at me with nothing to do with anything in my message.

he was a terrible lawyer with complete disregard for the methods and standards the bar expects of a lawyer.

I agree, his behavior in court was what was the weirdest thing about the guy. He always came off like a fairly normal guy in those destructoid interviews, but as a lawyer, he was pretty insane. Oh well, he's disbarred now. I wonder what will happen next.
