He looks sad as hell on the album cover.
Every White Stripes album was a solo album. Meg is a footnote.
Wasn't it just a two person band? Why drop his sister? Let her at least play the cow bell and collect a pay check.

Jack performed "Sixteen Saltines" and "Freedom at 21" on a German talk show last night. Here is the video of both performances.

Trying to decide whether to download it off iTunes first or wait to get it on CD. Hmmm...
I thought iTunes was going to have some exclusive tracks or content. But after seeing they don't. I will just get CD. I usually like getting both because the CD might have some exclusive content that iTunes might not have and vice versa.CD is always better!
Listening to it now via rdio.. sounds like a pretty straightforward Jack White release.
I'm digging this. It's enough of a departure. "Love Interruption" sounds very different from a White Stripes song, for example.
CD is always better!
EDIT: I hated Raconteurs most of the time Benson was singing. And the second album.
Both for me. I'm not one of those Vault freaks, but close. Very close.I'm still trying to decide if I want to buy the CD or the vinyl. Tough call!

Picked up my physical copy, listened twice today already. So many great tracks, but they're all so different from one another! I'm Shakin' is my favorite right now, but it changes with every listen. Only the most heartless of people could somehow not break a smile during Hip (Eponymous) Poor Boy.
Off-topic, but it was just announced that Jack will be writing and performing the score for the upcoming film, The Lone Ranger. The film stars none other than...Johnny Depp. Should be pretty interesting.
Just know that the next time we get together, my wife will berate you for not loving this album. I apologize in advance. ;-)Listening to it now via rdio.. sounds like a pretty straightforward Jack White release. I don't expect I'll listen to it again personally.
Of his projects, I like his work with The Raconteurs the most.
