Will Smith was just on the radio in the UK, mentioned Jackie Chan thing briefly, even brought up the fact he's Chinese and they're shooting in China, he even said (maybe he's not 100% sure) that Jayden will be learning Kung-fu (like Jackie), not Karate.



Moyles (presenter) said 'call it kung fu kid!' there were some laughs, some silly suggestions, eventually Will said 'I think we're gonna stick with Karate Kid'

Color doesn't fucking matter, especially in The Karate Kid... The story is basically a fatherless troubled youth moves to a new area and finds a father figure in a Karate instructor, something that isn't effected by the kid being Black, hell the story pretty much fits with the current state of African Americans.

David L. wasn't black in the original movie, so the main-guy shouldn't be it either, in the remake.
The same with James Bond, etc.

MOD? I havent seen that one...you should see the episode called "Killing Fields" about the Tiny Raskal Gang..HUGE hmong gang. Or the Deadly Triangle...about the chinese triads.

TRG is a Khmer(Cambodian) gang, not Hmong. When I use to live in Cali, the entire apartment complex was almost exclusively Hmong and Khmer. There was definitely some tension but I moved away when I was real young so I don't know if things ever got bad.
