Jakks Pacific creating articulated nintendo toys

Anyone see these out in the wild yet?

I haven't seen any of the new 6-8 inch figures yet but I got the 2.5 inch Gannondorf at TRU back in early January and found Toon Link at a far-off Target last weekend. Both stores only had one of each and I haven't seen them anywhere since. :S

The new wave of Nintendo plushies are out too!
I picked up all 4 between a few different Target stores:
-Cat Mario
-Cat Luigi
-Boo
-Blue Pikmin

Also, I've dedicated part of my site (amiibros.com) to providing information about Nintendo action figures from the US & Japan (World of Nintendo, Figma, Nendoroid, etc.).
I still need to add pages for World of Nintendo Wave 2 (& the 2.5" series) and the newly revealed Nendoroids, but I've been tied up with other projects recently.

You can check it out here, if you're interested! :)

But also at a much lower quality.:P Meh guess Bowser looks fine. Heh at that metroid too.
Honestly I think most of these are better quality than some of the amiibos I've seen. Not too shabby for budget figures.

Edit: Pictures to reference what I meant. I've heard amiibo Marth has been improved, but I still think I'd rather have Jakk's Ganonderp.

Samus figures are popping up on eBay for $30-50. I thought she wasn't supposed to release yet? Should I panic and buy one at that price?

Are people suddenly more interested in these things because of Amiibo or were the prices always that high on ebay for these?

The only World of Nintendo toy I was interested in before Samus was Diddy Kong and he was going for $8, which is why I'm shocked by Samus's $30-50 asking prices on eBay.

Hopefully the Samus figures on eBay are initial shipments and the price will go down as more are manufactured. I don't think Jakks is as boneheaded as Nintendo is with Amiibos.

So it was announced at TF that a future wave of the 4" line will be fully articulated 8bit versions.

Also when asked about a Star Fox figure the director of Jakks boys lines specifically started hinting at vehicles.
And mentioned they will likely redo a few figures to fix scale issues.(guessing 4" Link closer to 5-6")

Edit:didn't see the 8bit mention on the last page.

Might be riding the amiibo coattails, but these were always going for lots on eBay due to shit stock. The first few pages of this thread documents eBay prices of the earlier waves.

I never saw the large Bowser but eventually found a link at target.

Oh wow that sucks. Fuck being a Nintendo fan these days.

I just want the Luigi honestly, the Figuarts both have expressions that I'm not a fan of even if they aren't that expensive.

Want Ganon as well, cuz why not..

What's the deal with the Samus and Metroid figures? I thought they weren't coming out until April but I've seen a few Samus figures on eBay going for crazy prices. I don't see them on any other retailer sites like Target or Toy'R'Us. I really wanted to get these figures.

I think some canadian retailers got them early or something. Hope nobody pays the ridiculous prices on eBay for them.

Eeehhhh, not impressed by that Samus. Doesn't look particularly better than the early 00's GamePro one, a stiff flat-shaded lunk of a toy.

Seriously? There's almost no retailers that carry these in Canada.

Target would have but they're dead. Only know Toys 'R Us.

I saw the Metroid figure for an obscene amount of money on eBay, figured I missed it. Glad to see it's a preorder, I'm hoping I can find one. I *must* have that.

I've seen Toad, Luigi and Diddy on the shelf. No sign of Samus. And I really want that large scale Ganon! Hurry up TRU... sell off those Donkey Kongs and order these.

I will probably cave on the micro scale sets... the idea of having a tiny zelda world on my desk is too good to pass on

I just went to Target today and while I was there I thought I'd check to see if they had any Samus figures, and, lo and behold, they actually did! It was a bit cheaper than I thought they'd be too at $6.99.

Target or Toys R Us. But you will have much better luck at Target in my experience, they restock them much more frequently... except for the larger figures (like bowser / donkey kong / ganon in the cube boxes)

I have never seen the large ones at Target. Only TRU.

Jakks stock is somehow worse than amiibo. Haven't found the smaller Toon Ganon and I doubt I'll ever find Cranky or Olimar in stores.

No sign of any of the new 4" figures either. Wario everywhere.

Holy crap I love that Metroid. Will definitely keep an eye out for that one, as well as the Samus and larger Ganondorf. As well as tiny Olimar, I definitely need a tiny Olimar.

This is a thing I need in my life! :O

I just like how the scale works for it

In a 1/1 scale (In scale to us), it works as the "Baby Metroid" when Samus first found it at the end of Metroid II and the beginning of Super Metroid. (I imagine a lot of cosplayers are going to be using this)

In scale with the World of Nintendo Samus 4 Inch, it works as the full sized matured Baby Metroid during the latter half of Super Metroid (As seen in the video I posted 2-3 posts back)

My Jakks orders arrived from BBTS! A couple bucks more to not deal with the abysmal Jakks stock issues.

I can confirm that the Metroid is indeed super squishy! All of the talons are individually articulated and can be rotated as well. Toon Ganon is fantastic, and Olimar is just adorable!

These are nearly impossible to find in Canada. I want my Cranky Kong, dammit. The only figures I've seen in person are the smaller ones and the large DK.

Any luck in the West Coast for the Wave 2 figures? Still nothing but overstocked Yoshis and Warios.

I got tired of the wait and ordered my Ganon/Metroid/Olimar from BBTS. Got my Diddy and Blue Toad from Amazon for about the same price as Target. Hoping I won't have to shell out for Cranky Kong scalper prices.

There $12 while at Target they sell for $8. At that price I would only get Samus. While at $8 I would get them all. I have all four 4" and both 6" from Series 1. Got the 4" for $28 and the latter two for $24.

Eek.

Well I was waiting on Target/Toysrus shipments of Samus because the Samus figure on Amazon was always going for $18 which is absurd. But today it's around $12 so I bit. Get yours fast!

if you still need Jakks Samus amazon has been stocking it for around 11.95 (price varies a tiny bit; saw one retailer had them for 11.50) with prime shipping. it's upcharged a little but it would save some hunting if you want one.
