Every time I talk with Japanese about immigration, it's not the threat of whites moving there, nor even blacks, etc. - it's other Asians. They have this fear of millions of Chinese coming in.

As usual, that Asian on Asian racism...

I had a friend visit there with some coworkers recently. He explained that in his estimation - almost all Japanese women he and his buddies persued (mid 20's) were not interested or repulsed by American men, or white males in general.

Not quite sure what to make of his assessment. Perhaps people who frequent there can elaborate as to why that is or isnt true?

Hard to say.. Because there is clearly at least a large subgroup of Japanese who actually prefer white men. I don't know if that could be considered mainstream or not.

Perhaps your friends just weren't the type of white guys that they go for? Or maybe they had no game in that cultural context and fell back on an excuse? Maybe they just went sfter the wrong girls entirely? Who knows..
