Studio couldn't work out a deal with Greeces govt, so they chose spain to look like Greece:

I know this happens all the time but does it matter to us? If it's supposed to be Greece and they made it look like Greece then why does it matter where it was shot? I sure as hell don't care that Suits is shot in Toronto but pretends to be in Manhattan, or Vancouver standing in for Seattle...etc.

Your orginal post made it sound like they shot in Greece. I was just replying that Spain actually stood in for Greece.

Oh, no. I was just stating the in-movie locations because I was praying they'd go back to Europe. Berlin, Paris...etc were part of what made the first two movies so amazing. US locations are really crappy in comparison, and this has Vegas :/
 
I've never seen a Borne movie as I'm not big on amnesia premises. Still, gotta say I liked this trailer. Maybe I'll catch-up on the original and see how I like it.
 
A few things:

The teaser is made from what they have in the can atm, they're still shooting.

The teaser feels like a studio cut (and exceedingly rough/rushed), I.e. Greengrass wasn't involved.

Greengrass' shooting style will be ever present, you can see from production shots that the cameramen have the cameras on their shoulders (roving reporter style) same as every other Bourne film (except the first).

That is a working title. It will be 'The Bourne...' It would be idiotic to stray from the franchise naming formula.
 
Well the scenes in the trailer are super smooth with no shaky cam.

Also. That's the title. Me thinks they're calling it Jason Bourne to lose any connection to legacy, since it wasn't well received. They don't want people thinking its a sequel to legacy.

Bloodborne being spelled as Bloodbourne and now Bourne is being spelled as Borne. Lol

Don't buy that one bit. You don't start releasing footage before naming the film.
 
I hope it has that same cold, Euro feel of the first three flicks. Legacy was just bland as hell. Also, any of you play the Bourne game from last gen? I loved it, lol. Even got all the achievements.

Well there's no title on the poster released, only that awful tag line.

I'd go with The Bourne Contingency (since from the teaser it seems they're bringing him back in as a last resort)

Me too, it's what I love about them. When I read the third act of the new film is in Vegas I felt kinda cheated.

Well from the teaser to the name to the woeful tag line consider my hype crushed :(

Still have faith in Greengrass though even if the studio are desperately trying to be as generic as fuck.

Haha - yeah, no.

Movie's called Jason Bourne, and it's a much better title than The Bourne Contingency for a film releasing nearly a decade after the previous "main" installment.
 
bourne aint bourne without the shaky cam. it was a cool stylistic choice that went overboard with ultimatum.

but he reigned it in nicely with captain phillips. hoping we get some middle ground here. this tv spot was super hype but i want a few of those kinetic shots too.
 
This doesn't look like a Bourne movie. I never pictured Jason Bourne in a fighting pit or plowing through traffic with truck.

Eh, looks super meh.

I don't think that's why, especially because noone remembers the fourth movie, let alone how Andy Capp was called in it

Kinda feels like the final Matt Damon Bourne film. I like the title based on that idea.
 
The bitch of the naming thing is that Bourne Legacy would have been great for his last movie after coming back from the dead.

Maybe The Bourne Ascension could work if they're trying to bring him back to help and lead a new generation of spies.
