Im i the only one who cant stand Lil Wayne, its like he can only rap when he whispers
Bollocks.

I'm hoping American Gangster turns out well, as doubtful as I am. As long as he drops the maturity bullshit I think he could still deliver.

as big zep said; mood muzik 3 will trump everything but i doubt it drops in december, even if it is 'guaranteed' to be out by then.

*has a legit promo copy of the album*

Care to give impressions instead of just gloating?

Meh I will instead.

Pray - Very hot track 8/10
American Dream - Nice beat, decent flow 7/10
Hello Brooklyn 2.0 - Lil Wayne is good usually but terrible in this track. Horrific beat too. 4/10
No Hook - 2nd best track on album 8.5/10
Roc Boys - Club track, decent 7/10
Sweet - Chill track, good beat 8.5/10
I know - Pharrell style track, ladies track 7.5/10
Ignorant Shit - old track but still hot havent heard Sigels verse yet 9/10
Say Hello - Average track 7/10
Success - Best track on album, Nas hits hard 9/10
Fallin - Amazing beat, next 'Never change' 8/10
Blue Magic - First single, meh 6/10
American Gangster - Nice finish to album 8/10

Still waiting to hear Party Life
But overall, 4 mics out of 5.
Better than Kingdom Come and BP2... worst than Blueprint and Black Album.

Pray and No Hook are great storytelling tracks

Success with Nas is hot

Brooklyn 2.0 with Wayne is hot too

I Know and Sweet are trash

That's all i've listened to so far

If the promo copies are out, then it should be leaking soon.

If you're waiting to see the movie, I suggest you see that before listening to the album...I've heard a few spoilers on here.

4 mics is pushing it. The album's production is flat, the rapping is uninspired, etc. It's better than Kingdom Come but that's not hard

His flow on No Hook is just horrible, like he can't keep up with such a layed back beat. Overall the album sounds like a horrible remake of The Blueprint

No Hook is one of the best songs of the year, regardless of lack of flow.

the version that leaked yesterday was unmastered. just lettin ya'll know.

I must say this album is refreshing. It sounds so good... thank you Jay. I didn't think you had it in you.

YAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWNNNNNnnnnnnn

More like American GarbageTyme.

Budden three tracks off MM3 better than anything on that "album"

LOL, and people say I should stick to videogames in other places. I didn't think he had this in him as well. This album is damn near flawless to me.

Yawn to your trolling.
Jay-z making millions while Budden can't even get an album released and busy dissing scrubs like Ransom.
Gimme a break.

He ate Ransom a new asshole...Made it look so easy. And that was done in a night, jay couldn't hold Budden jock strap musically right now or for the past 3 yrs for that matter. Keep the money argument up, cause thats all you got.

MM3>AG

How can you say that when the man himself doesn't feel that?

DX: You give props to Jay on some of the leaked, untitled tracks for Mood Muzik 3…
JB: Like what?

DX: You refer to “The greatest rapper alive” who is now wearing suits, who everyone is comparing themselves to.
JB: Okay, I did say that.

DX: So you don’t bear any resentment towards him?
JB: Any personal feelings I have towards Jay have nothing to do with the fact that I think he’s the greatest rapper breathing. The guy can rap better than anybody else who picks up a microphone. Now, is he the same Jay as "Reasonable Doubt Jay" or "The Life and Times Jay" or "Blueprint Jay?" That’s a totally different question. In my opinion, he’s by far better than anyone else rapping. I’m an Andre [3000] fan, I’m a Lupe fan, I like guys that really can rap. Whatever me and Jay went through on a business level… I could think that he’s the worst president ever, but that doesn’t take away from his skill.

pretty much dont know what these other clowns are listening to

I agree, this album is a masterpiece :D

Of course Budden gonna say that, why call out Jay like that in public...Thats his idol. But he knows he better than Jay now.

Green Lantern 10/29 over Onyx "Last Days" Fuckin kills this beat...

Dissing Ransom over "Heart of The City"

No contest....None. Nobody in the game is even on his level and he been ghost for 2 years.

Going hard on songs != great rapper.
There is still the art of making great songs.

MM3 ain't even out.
It helps your argument when the actual product you are judging is out.
MM2 was great. But it's mixtape. That's it. Budden can't even put out an album.
An American Gangster is great. IN the words of your idol, HI HATER.

This album is solid and hello brooklyn is my shit, the bass bumps in my car and that pharell produced tune i know is dope as fuck gets me on a mad hype.

I think this album is better than kingdom come but that wasn't hard to follow up i wouldn't
call this release a classic but i would go as far to say (as i have before) that it is solid and die hard jay fans will not be dissapointed.

There are only 4 tracks on here that I like and will travel with me at all times. Those songs are:

Sweet
Say Hello
Ign'ant Ish
Success

I know nothing of Jay-Z outside that he sells a lot of records but I dug Eardrum and Graduation. Should I get American Gangster this week or pick up Food&Liquor since I want to hear some Lupe Fiasco before The Cool comes out?

The only songs I can't listen to on this album are Blue Magic and Fallin. Everything else ranges from ok to awesome.

I would put this album in terms of quality somewhere between The Blueprint and The Black Album.

Wow. He's a 3000 fan and still thinks Jay Z is the best rapper breathing? Different strokes I guess.

Thats why MM3 will have nobody else beat...All original. I don't need to worry about the final product.

Whatever...point being, outside of 6 minutes of death MM2 was all original beats. Take out that track and you could call it an album. And better than any of jay's last 3. MM3 will surpass it no problems.

“For you times is rough too
Cuz ain’t nobody buying your album’s but you
And from the sounds of everything I hear you lost it
Still rap alright but your ears exhausted
**** your bunch of money put your ego to the side
Maybe it’s time to study your understudy
I mean, are we hustling or are we grown up?
Everytime I hear you you changing your tone up
When the new generation think about Jordan
All they remember is when Iverson crossed him
Take off the blazer, loosen’ up the tie
Nigga fell in love and Superman died
Better learn to cover your ears when the toys pop
I hate your last single, Boys Rot
Can we hear some new niggas with promise
The new generation won’t forget you we promise
We’ll always pay homage but let’s get one thing understood son
Every “Encore” ain’t a good one.”

Hov...take that Verse from budden and retire permanently

I agree with this. I thought it was gonna be something along the lines of comparing American Gangster to The Cool or something...and this?
