I'm not a fan of the look, and it especially doesn't suit adults.
This. Just get some Converse All Stars; easy to wear, cheap and always look fine with jeans (in a casual setting of course).

Even professional basketball players tend not to wear basketball shoes when they go out. There's a reason for this.

Think carefully.

how I look almost everyday.
It seriously looks like something a 5 year old would wear. Particularly if you were going out anywhere apart from the mall.

Sorry, the look just aint that great :|

Well not with skinny jeans, I rock mine with straight fits. If ain't your style thats fine, but its kinda the ''in'' look where I'm from.

pretty much this. I don't think anyone I'd be looking to impress a bunch of people that don't even know what I look like. If I want an opinion about fashion I ask people I go to school with or work with and my friends but that's just me.

Personally I wouldn't wear basketball shoes or running shoes with jeans. I'd wear them with shorts or sweatpants though.

Thats all you need.

Goes well with jeans, suits, workout shorts etc.

The most versatile shoe ever, I even lift weights with these.

Guys the image I posted was just some stock image I found. Just go to your regular department store or shopping outlets/malls to find some brown casual boots.

This answer does not please me. I was looking at some brown casual shoes, but those shoes beat the Rockport shoes I was looking at.

OP needs more like this:
I hope to one day see someone wearing these in public. My day needs more laughter.

I kind of like those red ones in the photo above. Been a long time since I've had bright red shoes, I should remedy that,

You'd wear bright red jordans over balla shoes? me confused.

Eye of the beholder i guess.

No, I'd never wear the shoes you linked. I'll just find some red converse next time around.

Tastes differ, but I just think they look ridiculous.

a gaf fashion thread, joy :lol

I used to a 'sneaker freaker' herp derp, it was pretty embarrassing looking back on it but luckily I was never mr. wear Jordan 8's with skinny jeans LOL LOL, just SB Blazers and Dunks with 501's

Don't listen to these guys about Chuck Taylors, they make your feet look slightly clownish. Vans Authentics are the true 'regular shoe' though in reality neither should be worn on the regular due to lack of support. (some would rip the soles out of em and replace with dr. scholls)

If you are wearing jeans and going 'out' i'd wear some Clarks, anything but Chuck taylors or fucking basketball shoes

Pretty much my default look.

Except I wear all black airforce ones and let the jeans go over the higtop and tongue. Don't like it to stick out.

all good, I like jordans for what they are, but with jeans they just look bad IMO. the shape just doesn't gel.

and I thought I was presumptuous throwing down $400 shoes, now you up it to 1k?

Terrible. Leave the ugly, bulky basketball sneakers where they belong: on the court.

LOL @ Polari posting the Rick dunks. All of the Rick sneaks have such bulbous toe boxes on them that make them look like clown shoes.

All I wear is jeans + reeboks as they're the only shoes wide enough for my feet.

I dont understand how men can use converse shoes, to me they look just so girly.

Thought this was going tobe a thread about Jerry Seinfeld... though he is more of a 'sneaker and jeans' than 'bball shoes and jeans', for whatever that distinction is worth.

Did we get a link to those very nice boots from earlier on or not?

They feel awesome that's why.

It's almost like being barefoot, they do run about 1/2 a size to a size larger so buying them smaller helps with the clown look.

Chucks are just an American Classic that literally works with almost anything.

They are Cheap, classy and disposable.

Perfect traits for shoes.
