You'd think Jeb would have had this nomination in the bag but he has absolutely no charisma. At all. Hell even W had some charisma, Jeb is just a plank of wood.

Jeb is like what I imagine W would have been like if he'd run away from home and joined a cult for a few years, then returned home with an altered personality ... awkward, disconnected, acid-fried.

nah. W is literally what you get when you take someone with Jeb!'s background and upbringing and introduce them to a shitload of cocaine

So is Rubio the only remaining Establishment candidate that has a shot? Is it really down to Rubio, Carson, and Trump?

My gut says Rubio has the nomination. Then again, the Republican party is in this weird place where the party is pretty divided between more establishment style Republicans and Tea Party Republicans. I just can't imagine Trump getting the nomination, regardless of his current polling numbers.

I think he could have survived that. He's just got zero of that personality that W did to the average voter.

He could have survived it if he had tried to distance himself from being another W. administration. But he publicly endorsed his brothers' decisions which painted him to be W. part 2 without the personality.

He should have at least come out with a vague "I would have done things differently" instead of straight up glorifying W.'s presidency.

The entire Bush political dynasty is likely about to be blown out of the water forever by Donald fucking Trump. You just know H.W. Is having some very existential thoughts lately.

He really should have at least tried to distance himself from his brother. His stances on immigration and Common Core haven't endeared him to a base that's hopping mad at the gubment either.

Jesus.

The Donald has destroyed this poor man.

Trump is a miraculously capable person and very underestimated by his opponents. I mean, this one guy has single-handedly pulled the rug out from under the GOP establishment and denied them their candidate of choice! Sometimes the end justifies the means. I don't care what crazy shit comes out of his mouth, he's a hero.

I expect once he has the nomination he's gonna change his mind or expose himself in public or something, to lock Hillary in for the rest of the ride.

It will be interesting to see the results of this election and how citizens united affected or didnt affect things. At the moment it seems like unbridled billions aren't helping anyone.

It may not be getting the crown jewel in the presidency, but it's definitely helping the lower races.

Jeb dropping out of the race this early would make for one hell of an October surprise. But it looks almost like a certainty now. Holy shit at that Twitter pic.

Trump jumped on this opportunity to make fun of Jeb.

"Bush has no money, he's meeting today with mommy and daddy, and they're working on his campaign," Trump said at the rally in downtown Jacksonville, Fla.
"He's a guy wants to run our country and he can't even run his own campaign. Think of it," he added.

The billionaire business mogul also tried to draw a contrast between Bush's campaign and his, saying he has fewer campaign staff and has spent the least money of all the candidates so far.

"You have all these people, what do you need these people for?" he said. "I put up less money than everyone else, and I'm number one."

I love that he said all of this in Jeb's state of Florida as well.

Pretty soon we're going to need JR to call for someone to stop the damn match cause enough is enough.

Would superdelegates make a move to prevent a Trump nomination?

Who would they nominate in his stead?

I mean at this point the Republicans know whoever takes Mecha-Hillary on is going to lose, so they're basically choosing who's going to lose to her at this point. Might as well be Trump since he at least gets the GOP a lot of publicity.
