Yeah, I should take a break from work to enjoy how awesome I am too.
Oh right.
must be nice to put your job on hold with millions upon millions in bank, can we just award him the nobel prize for bravery already?
It's silly isn't it. Dude has been great in his past few roles, especially in 'The Town'.
That letter from his dad must've really hit hard.

Holy crap that is a good one.
Renner always looks too old for the roles he plays. If he takes a break, he'll look like a geezer in his next film.
When he's clean shaven and has his SWAT/Bourne Legacy haircut, I'd say he looks really much much younger than 41 years old, he looks 31, 32 to me easily.

He's 41?! That's as surprising to me as when I found out Tosh was 37.
I dont mind him at all. Not a terrible actor. Not a omg amazing one. Can't go wrong.
He already looked too old for military service in Hurt Locker and looked ancient in The Town next to Affleck.
That's like when I found out Criss Angel is 45. LOL
Renner is clearly a late-bloomer. Thus this break is very weird.
"At the end of the day, 90% of the movie, Im not the character I signed on to play. Im literally in there for two minutes, and then all of a sudden All I could really work on was the physical part of it all, because that didnt change. That was just the biggest challenge to overcome in playing the guy. Also, were pretty much introducing a new superhero character to everyone in a movie where theres a thousand superheroes.
So theres not a lot of back story or understanding we can really tell about who Clint Barton is, or Hawkeye, and is he working for SHIELD or not. Theres a lot of unanswered questions, even for me. And I was OK with that. At least I was still in the movie. And I was glad for that.
The closest thing I could really link to was Scarlett [Johansson's] character, Black Widow, because they have a history. And that definitely plays in the movie, I think. And obviously, you cant go into too much just because theres so much story to tell, but you definitely get a sense that theyre connected, and that theres something really, really important that ties them together. And I could try to summarize it, but it can go a lot of places. That excites me, though, that theres room for other things.
"I think hes already an interesting enough character. To really kind of take away who that character is and just have him be this sort of robot, essentially, and have him be this minion for evil that Loki uses. Again, I could just focus on the task. I was limited, you know what I mean? I was a terminator in a way. So yeah, fun stunts. But is there any sort of emotional content or thought process? No. That doesnt exist in that time [that he's hypnotized]. It happens to be for most of the movie."
