Struggling to care about Avatar anything at this point.
Division got a massive downgrade in level of detail, lighting, volumetric fog/steam and all kinds of other effects.
Yes, the game is still a looker especially on Pro consoles but it definitely got a downgrade.
Avatar was also downgrade although they had only showed off cutscene footage so it's not as easy to do 1v1 comparisons.
Most of the latest games shown by Ubisoft look amazing and I love Ubisoft anyway.

Wow Avatar looks great and like my kind of game. I don't understand why UBI always gets so much hate.
Ya know Bo I really did NOT need to find more games I want to play, I'm already overloaded.
I would be quite optimistic.- Does anyone believe the game will reach that level graphics??
Prince of Persia The Lost Crown looks really good too if you're into 2D action platfomers.Endeed
Avatar
Outlaws
Mirage
3 games that are interesting.
Why I don't believe a thing coming from Ubisoft until it's out, and even then I won't buy it. Gamers are too quick to forgive this bullshit. Ubi games are generally subpar and they love to overpromise and use CGI for marketing. So be cautious. And Watch Dogs
And Rainbow Six
And Far Cry
And Assassin's Creed
And Beyond Good and Evil 2 - where's the videogame?
The strange situation is, that with Avatar, Star Wars and the new Assasins Creed there are more future Ubisoft games I am interested in then Playstation 1st party gamesUbisoft actually had a good/decent showing this year but for some reason I hardly hear anyone admiting that.
Sounds right up gaf’s alley. It's Ubisoft. It's probably going to look great and also incredibly boring to play.
What are the future PlayStation games that are on the horizon if I may ask? I know their studios are working on games but what are they? There is not a single first party game that is even announced for 2024 as far as I am awareThe strange situation is, that with Avatar, Star Wars and the new Assasins Creed there are more future Ubisoft games I am interested in then Playstation 1st party games
They mentioned this in DF, difference between then and now is that they explicitly said this was running on PS5 and is already pretty close to release. We're finally starting to see games that aren't shackled to the PS4 so it's not TOTALLY surprising that these games are looking really good. I'm betting this is how the game will look.Remember the Division and how amazing that looked before the final game
That is what I was talking about, nothing after Spiderman, except Wolverine in the (distant?) future...What are the future PlayStation games that are on the horizon if I may ask? Exactly, the one game we knew about was Last of Us MP and that got the shaftThat is what I was talking about, nothing after Spiderman, except Wolverine in the (distant?) future...

You would think with the shitstorm around spiderman 2 being caused by a trailer that said captured on ps5 that maybe media using this caption to prove how a game will look maybe isn't the best way to move forward.Pro: it says "captured on PS5"
Especially when it just looks like pretty Far Cry. In years past I might have been excited but I’m Far Cry’d out.Struggling to care about Avatar anything at this point.
This really is the worst kind of take.Imagine being unironically excited for Far Cry: Pandora.
Man, those anorexic cat people still look lame as hell. The "downgrade" is that the first scene of the original teaser went overboard with Ubisoft's trademark cutscene lighting:
Modern games hide light sources around the characters for cutscenes.
What's the right take? This really is the worst kind of take.
Unless they keep shortchanging the budget because the real reason we dont get vertical slice visuals has way less to do with optimization and way more to do with budgets.
If you think about it, the more we move forward graphically, the less Ubisoft will downgrade.
Eventually we will reach an equilibrium with Ubisoft where what we see is what we get.
It is if your goal is deception and garnering a defense force to gaslight naysayers who might interfer with your games highly profitable hype. You would think with the shitstorm around spiderman 2 being caused by a trailer that said captured on ps5 that maybe media using this caption to prove how a game will look maybe isn't the best way to move forward.
Literally any one that isn’t “you should be ashamed for being excited for this video game”.What's the right take?
