I'm curious to see how these cross-platform games will perform. I really think the next-gen consoles are going to struggle this year, I just don't see the incentive for people to upgrade when all the biggest games are coming to the 360/PS3.

Those Rayman 2 releases have been over the course of 12 years.

As far as near-simultaneous split-gen releases go, I think Madden NFL 08 might take it, as it was on the PS2, PS3, PSP, Xbox, Xbox 360, GameCube, Wii, DS, PC and Mac. They came out over the course of about 3 weeks. Madden NFL 07 also did 10 platforms, with a GBA release instead of a Mac one. If you wanna count N-Gage and Zeebo, FIFA 08 is in the 10 format club too.

I guess the difference in the current split-gen case is that it is going to be pretty much the same game - those Maddens and FIFAs had distinct differences based on the platform.

As far as I remember, I did one mistake only on that test.

Also, I didn't say it was halfways red-blue purple, I said violet. Not the original blue color of the case for sure.

It's blue, get a calibrated monitor. Just because you can accurately judge hues relavtive to each other in that test doesn't mean your monitor accurately reproduces total colour values.

Monitors with high Delta-E (colour shift). It's normal with the usual TN consumer monitors. Couldn't stand it so I got a calibrated IPS some time ago. Well worth it, especially when you are looking at photos and art.
