Jez Corden: "Xbox needs to be more social", "hope Asha will improve that."

lol, that's one of the stupidest goddamn things I've heard from him in awhile.

the last thing I'd want while playing Xbox, or anything else for that matter, is having to listen to neckbeards like him talk. if I want to talk with anyone it will be my friends, and it will be outside of a video game console.

I really don't think that's why Nintendo and Sony dominate them.
Well according to Mr. Corden, the reason Xbox isn't on top is because of Don Mattrick and his always online no used games strategy no wait Satya Nadella and his misunderstanding of gaming no wait developers being secretly biased against Xbox no wait Amy Hood and her 30% profit target no wait Sarah Bond and her This Is An Xbox marketing campaign no wait Sony and their third-party deals no wait a lack of permanent exclusives no wait an Xbox tax in the media no wait retailers not stocking enough Series consoles no wait Xbox not being more social no wait etc etc etc.

I think it's time for this bearded, basement dwelling boozehead to get outside of his little underground basement and go touch some grass. What this weird parasocial relationship they've had with their fanbase since the Spencer era not enough for him? How much worse does he want it to get? It's like a child with a parent at this point, unable to function properly without stalking their idol's profiles and leaving below room temp iq responses.

This ain't it chief, if Xbox wants to get better, it's time for them to leave this peculiar, bizarre, parasocial fan relationship behind and focus on actually doing something, instead of spending most of their time seeing terminally online people stating baseless opinions, while ignoring the logistics behind what made Xbox go this current route in the first place.

He makes this argument alot and it's genuinely not reality..they are the only one of the three struggling like this, and Nintendo and Sony aren't even pushing social media as much as Xbox is now. He clearly got this talking point from someone at Microsoft and tbh if you are a fan…it should worry you that they believe internally that the answer to selling more console is "better discord integration"

What could go wrong taking advise from this shill...

Xbox needs games. Games and exclusives. Anything in addition to those are icing on the cake.

Its that simple. Yet it seems so hard for Xbox to understand.

Jez Corden: "Xbox will thrive when I can call people retards and fags on COD and show people my cock and balls on Uno again"

Bring back the 360 style blades dashboard, and inside Xbox sent you a message the avatars and bring back 1 Vs 100 that's when it really felt like a community also online games let banter in lobbies exist we don't need policing.

The fuck is this Ceff Jorden talking about? What Xbox need is games that really sell the platform, and that's it, new IPs a return to the old 360 days, nothing more, nothing less. What a clown..

Xbox has deeper problems than this, but he's not wrong that the consoles have weak social features, and if anything have devolved based on how silent game lobbies are vs the old days.

No major evolution since the 360 era, beyond 2 of the 3 consoles integrating Discord, and Nintendo adding Discord features they charge for. Yippee, bare minimum...

Their exclusives are a huge disappointment. There's zero reason for me to buy an Xbox. I'll buy multiplatform games on Sony's consoles. I'd rather buy a PC before buying another Xbox.

Be "social" by putting good games in stores and actually bother to fucking market them on a large and can't miss it scale.
This is qn area that MS/Xbox absolutely suck at.
Growing up and working in, and around London, I've seen all the big PlayStation marketing over the years. From PS1's in nightclubs, to 20ft Nathan Drakes hanging from a skyscraper. Xbox have never bothered to do anything like this. Certainly not close to the same scale, anyway.

It's easy to fluke success without putting in much effort when the main player is having a little launch fumble with their third console outing, and you ignore what works (PS3 bounce back in 2008/9 with vital things like said marketing) and try to ignore these important factors with your next two consoles, whilst the other is outselling you probably ten times by doing the exact things you should be doing.

The Xbox division is run by absolute tools.
All the money in the world, but still can't compete anywhere close to those with a vary smaller resource pool.

Embarrassing at this point.

Didn't it just get toxic when people became social on XBL? I don't know how I'd run that thing. I'm not jumping on Xbox to connect because this isn't the 360 gen anymore. Idk how you'd get that back?
