Jimmy Kimmel makes Kanye West mad

College Dropout (the leaked version, not the terrible release version with the shitty redone workout plan/never let me down) is the only thing this guy ever did well. I dunno how you guys have put up with the other shit for the last decade.

Nothing tells Kim that Kanye loves her more than a tweet like this, LOL

I'm not buying that this is a publicity stunt. It would be out of character for Kimmel, and that whole 1 hour interview with all the nonsensical passion would be even more bullshit.....which I guess would be an alright outcome because the people who found it to be so profound would look even more silly.

Uh the network aired an ad could just be a coincidence. Doesn't seem like a good marketing thing if this is all fake

Nah, it all makes sense. The barbs being thrown were too PG rated. I mean, "Jimmy Kimmel Face?" You would have to be the ultimate cornball to throw some shit like that at someone you were genuinely mad at.

Motherfucker and lack of pussy is PG now?

...okay

Fighting Kanye West over the internet is like being 13 year old again and throwing the dumbest most childish insults.

I dont get it he sounds like my oversensitive aunt that just got Facebook a couple of months ago and doesnt understand how others perceive her.

Yeah I actually disagree this time around. I know that he usually doesn't give a fuck but you can tell from his tweets that he used to be 'cool' with Jimmy Fallon and he feels like he stabbed him in the back with his skit. I honestly don't know and I don't really care anymore, but that's the impression I got.

You keep confusing Jimmy Kimmel with Jimmy Fallon.

Two very different people.

After reading all the responses here, I wonder if everyone actually watched the full 1 hour interview.

Because if you did, you would see how Kimmel's slightly funny parody kind of causes more harm than good.
Kanye was passionately speaking about a fairly large variety of topics, but Kimmel cherry picked like two details out of context to make Kanye west look crazy. In the interview itself, Kanye stated disclaimers towards his behavior and his thoughts in the interview, how his words would be perceived now, and into the future.

Kimmel basically proved his point by glossing over the several intriguing things Kanye thought potential artists and regular people should know and focused on the jeggings comment.

And despite how people feel about it, Rap is currently bigger than rock and roll, and has been for years. I don't really see any arguments against that fact.

WTF IS THIS SHIT?

Kimmel is a comedian. He made fun of Kanye. He makes fun of all celebrities NIGHTLY.

Like I said earlier even if Kanye was speaking on some of the most prophetic profound shit ever known to man, KIMMEL the comedian can make fun of it all he wants and KANYE a grown ass man shouldn't resort to being a 2 year old whiny baby.

Why is this so hard for people to understand? Kimmel didn't attack him cause of the actual content of the interview but because Kanye is so egotistical and into himself he is quite easy to "pick on" by comedians.

Do people not understand how late night tv shows work? Letterman, Leno, Fallon, Kimmel, and Furgeson all make fun of celebs nightly. Doesn't mean those stars go on a tirade.

I feel bad for Kanye honestly.

I really do think the dude has some mental issues he needs to work out. Almost nothing he says makes any sense and his music isn't as good as it used to be.

He wants to be so much more then he is and he just comes off as a kind of dumb egomaniac.

I mean that's what's really sad. He's just not as smart as he thinks he is.

I meant Kimmel.

I forgot who Kimmel even was before this thread which is why I keep mixing them up.

Plus, Fallon is funnier.

Album-wise yeah, but Cole and radio have never really mixed to my knowledge. The album sales are a testament to how effective quality, free music is to building a fanbase.

Cole gets tons of radio play here in NYC. More so than Yeezus got at all.

It's unfortunate "comedians" like Kimmel (read: shit ones) need to make fun of easy targets to stay relevant.

All comedians make fun of all celebs.

Kanye isn't some sacred cow you can't make fun of. In fact the original spoof wasn't even that funny and didn't register with most people until Kanye went crazy.

BTW what makes Kanye any more of an easy target than other celebs who get picked on nightly?

I'm not buying that this is a publicity stunt. It would be out of character for Kimmel, and that whole 1 hour interview with all the nonsensical passion would be even more bullshit.....which I guess would be an alright outcome because the people who found it to be so profound would look even more silly.

Yeah it could be a marketing ploy by the both of them but I doubt it just because a commercial for the tour aired.

Maybe his record company saw an opportunity, maybe that ad was going to air regardless, maybe it was a local ABC ad not a national one, or maybe one has nothing to do with the other.

And its not like Kanye acting like a baby is something new. The first time he did it I thought wow he is working the media, but then when I found out this is really how he is, I was shocked that someone can be this stupid.

I think even sadder are his fans who buy into his own "IM A GENIUS!" persona and then try to tell others of his brilliance.

Arrrgh, I wanted Kimmel to respond by having the same kid read out Kanye's tweets.

Kanye does interview->parody it with a child->Kanye acts like a child->parody it with a child.

Quoting since people seem to be reading right past this

Disappointing.

Anyone have a link to the commercial at least?

Called it. Just another publicity stunt.

Pathetic. So now this guy Kanye is resorting to MMG style woman fainting marketing to move his weed plates off shelves?

Be a Kanye stan, yall?

Also, this is not how media buying works.

I can't believe so many people are bashing Jimmy about this and taking up for Kanye West of all people. I hope Jimmy keeps at it night after night. I also hope this isn't all just staged, heh.

If I'm being honest. The biggest reason I can't stand kanye is his annoying defense force. It's Sonic defense force levels of annoying.

Hardcore fans tend to be delusional. If all of this was for publicity, then the fans who took the interview to heart seriously got trolled.

My opinion on this whole thing is Kanye gave an interview in which he talked a bit about racism he faces in the industries he tries to be a apart of. He basically said he often gets told to go play in the kiddie pool and then Jimmy Kimmel spoofs it, willfully taking a few quotes out of context to make him seem like he's a crazy man child, making Kanye's entire case. You not one of us, go to the kiddie table there grown folks are talking. He's not allowed to be smart and say some real shit from time to time. I don't agree with the way Kanye handled it on twitter but I really can not blame him for being ticked off with the media antagonizing him especially like that. Kanye's tweets are probably overshadowing what's really going down with this whole thing. The skit wasn't remotely funny btw

One can say Kanye brought that upon himself with his eccentric behavior.

Eccentric behavior such as what? Taking a mic from a white girl at an award show, speaking your mind about something although not saying anything disrespectful to the girl in question?

He's crazy driven, artistically and passionately so... we need a word other then crazy to describe him. I have way more respect after watching these videos.

Yes, that's it, not a girl but a white girl at that. Looks like someone is emotional, go in the kiddie pool and cool off.

This is what comedians do. Kimmel is not 'the media' he's a late night comedy and talk show host. Kanye doesn't have a case if his case is 'the media keeps me down,' or 'i'm not a crazy, thin-skinned egomaniac.'

Again it doesn't matter what Kanye was saying. Kimmer saw an opportunity to make fun of him and he did it. Kimmel isn't sending some larger than life subliminal message about black people and racism. His job is to make jokes. Every night. And its not just Kanye who he takes out of context or makes fun of.

But its only Kanye who gets butthurt and lashes out.

BTW he did say some crazy stuff in the interview regarding his own view of himself but I guess it isn't that crazy anymore since he always says it.

Yes getting on stage while another person is accepting their award is eccentric. Borderline psychotic and all because Beyonce didn't get it and Kanye and in his infiniste wisdom decided he alone had the right to correct this travesty. At the MTV VMAs of all venues.

Speaking your mind is one thing. Crying, complaining, throwing tantrums because you don't win awards, because South Park made fun of you, or now because Kimmel made fun of you is moronic.

Kimmel is apart of the media lol

Anyway Kimmel being a comedian doesn't negate the point I made. Comedy doesn't exist in a vacuum.

And if he had a history of putting down black artists or even black comedians you would have a point.

He doesn't. At this point his only history is being a comedian, putting everyone down equally, and picking on all celebs. Whether you find it funny or not that is his lane.

Saying Kimmel shouldn't have made fun of him because he was talking about racism or some serious matter is pretty pointless.
