At least he sounds excited about an upcoming venture. It sounds strange to hear him leaving GP so soon, but if opportunity knocks, you answer the door. Good luck to you, Mr. Davison.

So, what is you next big move? EGM?
:p
GhaleonQ said:Surely, based on past comments, it's another magazine. I think that we can guess which one.

Convincing people to buy sub-par products really must be rewarding in its own way.doitlive said:Nah, I think Shane loves his job:lol .

Love the guy, and his work with GamePro was fantastic. One of the best game mags/sites out there now. Excited to see what the future holds for him.
Has he not just left his second employer in over ten years?duk said:man this guy jumps around a lot

I can't speak to the quality of the magazine, only the material on the website, and I think it's seen a significant improvement. The mag could be identical beyond the layout for all I know, I've seen an issue or two of since he took over, but nothing before so I can't compare. It's no Edge, but then, nothing is. Gaming magazines have never been a shining example of excellence.Sipowicz said:it looks the same as ever to me. although to be fair i've barely visited it in the past. my impression from has always been that it was/is a pretty terrible magazine

Yeah, my fear is that perhaps his amazing turn-around for the mag has led to less-than-stellar turn-around from the business end :-(Calcaneus said:The man completely turned around Gamepro. Davison knows what he's doing.

Please don't change from here, GamePro!

There were quite a few topics on the new design and editorial direction of the magazine and it was directly attributed it to him.Cow Mengde said:Wait, what's with the flood of praise for Gamepro now? I haven't read the magazine in years so I'm out of touch with it, and very surprise to see GAF of all places praising it. Is it really that good?
