Davison has formed a new venture with 1UP Network GM Ira Becker, and his ZD exit is effective next week. No news on what the new company is up to, other than that its games related.

Edit: For those that don't know, Davison has been bouncing around ZD for what has to be almost a decade. He was EIC of EGM for a while, but right now is (was) in charge of editorial for ZD's entire game group.

Edit2: no news yet on who his replacement is.

Edit3: This is PURELY SPECULATION, but it would make sense that he might be taking some other talent with him, if his "new venture" has to do with games writing. Any 1up peeps care to comment?

I thought Pfister did really well, but remember, he rarely spoke on the podcast outside of shouting off-mic. So it was a hit maybe, but losing the co-host is worse.

Luckily Garnett will never leave because he loves his job too much and no one else would think about hiring him :lol

I hope Jeff Green and Mark D are the new replacements.

Garnett has a great radio voice and as a managing editor, he has the right skill set to contribute to any company as a team or project lead.

However, someone like Shane who basically just writes brings a little bit less to the table, and his encylopedic knowledge of games isn't exactly something that lights up a resume.
