JP Kirby Broadcast tomorrow for 25th Anniversary

Dream Collection 3D for 3DS would be fine by me!
Nintendo tapped out of 3D conversions really quickly. Sadly, I don't see them effectively deciding to double the amount of classic game conversions they've done in one swoop.

The obscured image with Waddle Dee sure looks like a new Amiibo in the center.

I actually think it looks like the current Kirby line Kirby amiibo.

You can see a pink thing on top of a yellow thing.

Looking forward to it.

If they release another compilation disc, I hope it's handled better than the Kirby 20th anniversary Wii mess.

Is this gonna end with a "tune into the upcoming Switch presentation for more Kirby news"? Hopefully anyway.

Kirby's not usually there for console debuts, but it would be nice.

My rampant speculation is that it's another batch of transcended minigames from Planet Robobot, like Triple Deluxe before it, only this time with amiibo compatibility.

Hey a series not called Mario or Zelda getting an anniversary doodad, how nice.
(yeah I remember Kirby got his dream collection before)

Give the people want they want. A spinoff all about Rick the Hamster.

Rick: A Kirby Story.

In a world where Coo and Nago already exist he can get to the back of that line.

Looking at the blurred picture again, I think it's official artwork for the 25th Anniversary Celebration. Looks like the Fountain of Dreams with a bunch of characters surrounding it.

Anyway we'll know in a few hours. Seeing how Nintendo hasn't announced it or retweeted the broadcast announcement on their official account, I'm almost 100% sure this won't be a game announcement. I'm sure it would be in their best interest to hype something like that on their own channels. Then again, we're talking about Nintendo.

After Zelda (and getting rejected to make a game for StarFox), Koei's Omega Force team moves on to make Kirby Musou.

Shenanigans involving an OP puffball and his friends wrecking havoc and mowing down multitudes of enemies (with light platforming) sounds right up Kirby's alley. And we'd FINALLY get a fully 3D action Kirby game out of the deal.

I'm just dying to see what a Kirby platformer in 3D would be like! I have so many ideas of what it could be but Nintendo is allergic to 3D platformers for some reason.

Doubt we'll get a new game announced but I'm hyped regardless!

I would play this in a heartbeat. This or a game from Platinum.

Koei's Omega Force team, Team Ninja, Platinum...

I just want someone to finally give Kirby the full 3D action title he's way past due for, with Hal being able to oversee it all so that it still is very much a Kirby game.

Haha, I thought about including Omega Force but stopped myself. For a Warriors game, the different "characters" could pull from Kirby's cast of allies and enemies, use each copy ability as a separate "character," or some combination of both.

Anyway, it sounds like we're on the same page. You hear that, Nintendo? That's two guaranteed sold copies!

*silently lowers expectations and accepts that it'll never happen*

So it turns out it wasn't a broadcast, but a series of tweet announcements. And the very first one was a concert announcement for next year in Japan! YEEEEEESSSS PLEASE COME ABROAD (or at the very least, a soundtrack release!) Nintendo Insider has some more details here.

Also featured were a 25th anniversary watch and the just-released Planet Robobot soundtrack. Also feast your eyes on some delicious artwork.

If anyone with some Japanese skills could translate more, it'd be appreciated! My meager skills, though growing, aren't enough to cover it all.

Thanks! That watch looks great! I hope we get the music overseas.

Look at these precious angels. (Though DeDeDe looks far too magnanimous.)

P.S. Waddle Dee is def the Luigi to Kirby's Mario now.

So this concert is the announcement? Nice.

Btw, am i the only one that thinks it's kind of weird to see kirby playing music with a bunch of people that tried to kill him at some point??
