Still, the most idiotic I've seen in recent years is the fucktard backyarder who let some piece of shit stab him deep in the arm with a packing knife for IWA-Deep South's Carnage Cup. Or the dude who let Mad Man Pondo stick a pair of scissors through his tongue.
...Jesus Christ, it's still real to them, damn it.

Lol, I totally forgot that match had a syringe spot. The finish is crazy, also that superplex onto the chairs looked nasty as hell.

They usually inject the syringe through the other guys cheek, or through his tongue. Have you not learned over the last 10 years of storylines that Rey is retarded?
Bu-but-but custody battles.

Rey is so small that he cannot perceive time, as spacetime does not need to bend to get around him.
He can only perceive the 6-1-9!

I thought this as well, came to the conclusion that he figured he'd get the inevitable loss to Cena out the way as soon as possible
I was thinking this too, but at the same time it's so incredibly lame.

Well, it looks like I'm gonna' have to break down and find some tickets to RAW next Monday in Indy...

Good Raw top to bottom. Not a lot of wasted time, which was what made last weeks bad.

- Ziggler's character stepped up a notch. He seemed a lot more aggressive and he made a point to put over his title, as he has been in previous weeks.

- Good first promo as the boss from HHH. Stuff with Truth was funny. Truth's character thrives in the upper-mid card. He established himself with his run against Cena, now he's where he should be.

- JR coming back, so awesome. Hopefully he's here to stay and this isn't just another angle with Cole. The way stories get over in the ring is night and day going from Cole to JR. I'm sure the main event, as good as it was on its own, was made ten times better with the switch.

- Ryder beating up Cole was the perfect way to start his push, assuming that's what's happening.

- Punk, amazing. One more week away would have been great, but I can see how they'd want to strike while he's hot. Cult of Personality is perfect, I can't understand how people are complaining. Plus you know WWE didn't come to him with that song since he used to use it in ROH, so that suggest he has at least some control in his character (I doubt "Best in the World" is their idea either). New song, new tron, new color scheme (digging the white/black/red), NO NEXUS, all new stuff for anti-hero Punk.

The best part about this Raw is that the first and last 15 minutes weren't the only parts worth watching. We've got angry Ziggler, ADR hovering with his briefcase, Ryder, Miz anti-new regime, Truth/Morrison, and of course Punk/Cena/(HHH).

Ain't no better start to the morning than a Big Japan deathmatch. I've seen Abdullah Kobayashi matches where he was covered in so much blood I was convinced it dyed his skin red. Also Jun Kasai who has more scars than you've had hot dinners. And don't forget Takashi Sasaki getting kenzans impaled on his head.

Was this at the beginning of the show or did it come on later?
it was around the monologue i think im sure someone will upload it to youtube the segment was kinda terrible to be honest. I don't find Kimmel to be funny at all I was just channel surfing.

I watched a few minutes of that Japanese Deathmatch. I don't get why they do that to themselves. :\

Don't get me wrong, I love hardcore matches with spotfests... but if it's a not over the top manner like that.

Not sure why people are complaining about Punk coming back too early. If anything he should have come back last week. Obviously if someone disputes his claim as champion, he would have to come back and refute it, otherwise it makes it seem like he is a phony champion and thus loses all power. He threatened to defend the title elsewhere, but you can't really do that when no one recognizes the belt. It's like the Razor Ramon/Shawn Michaels feud where there were two IC belts.

Maybe old, but CM Punk invaded Comic Con.

Just finished the replay....

I called that cena bullahit but im too lazy to go back and find my post, but goddamn I marked out hard when Cult of Personality started playing....so awesome they let him have that theme again....

Ryder on tv good shit....

Good raw all around....

ugh.. so Cena's the champ again after Rey got showered with champagne over his title win.
Cena cheating to beat Rey and then CM Punk comes out, that should've been the end and it shoud've been on summerslam.

I think the return of Punk was played out perfectly. No words spoken, just the two current biggest stars in the ring. Good to see that the crowd is still behind Punk. He now feels like the star of the company.

WWE has yet to disappoint with this angle.

Also, Cult of Personality. Have not heard it in ages and did not know if was previously used by Punk. I've been humming it all day.

Man I just realized how much Jericho really is gonna have to change it up when he comes back. Miz stole his personality, and Punk stole his catchphrase.

Wait so was this ROH theme that Punk is using the one you guys were marking over a few days (weeks?) back? I swear someone linked it and it was rubbish... This song however (of which yes I have now grabbed from iTunes and spammed the repeat a million times) perfectly suits Punks comeback/return and is awesome!

Was anyone ever saying that? I think what most people were saying was that the promo was off-the-cuff, which I still think most of it was. Same goes for the opener of RAW two weeks after, and the stuff with Vince in the ring later that night. All of those had a basic script in mind, but they worked around it when needed. For example, Punk tried to get the crowd to chat "WHAT" at Vince, but when it did not work, Vince jumped in "I Apologize, You Sun of a Bitch." There were loads of other bits and pieces in all the promos that felt like that too.

You constant effort to turn everything into a negative when there are positives to look at is unneeded. Please stop

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THIS IS THE GREATEST TWITTER ACCOUNT IN THE HISTORY OF OUR SPORT!

It seems ol' Skee-a-vone is now a baseball broadcaster. He does play-by-play for the Gwinnett Braves, the Atlanta Braves AAA team.

I wish he'd come back to wrestling. Aside from the massive hyperbole, the guy was great.

Punk looked like god tier at the end of that RAW. Very happy for him. (:

I don't think Cena is terribad or anything but why is he like Batista and is granted immortal #1 contender status whenever he loses that belt? And what about Rey? Does he get a rematch too against Cena? I guess my complaint is that the fed hasn't treated the title belt well in such a long time that its kinda sad. Oh well. Still a good ending. And by the way, GAF is always hilarious with the play by play as shows play out. All of you are very funny. (:

Well it could have been better, but it could have been a lot worse too. Its still the best storyline the WWE have bothered to attempt in the last 5 years.

Cena got a title shot because he was owed a rematch after losing it to Punk. Rey won't get a rematch now (I'm assuming) because Cena is not actually the rightful champ - Punk is.

So it sets up Punk / Cena nicely for Summerslam, although I can't see how anyone can possibly claim Cena is any kind of champ right now. He won a belt with no meaning. Even if we're going by WWE universe logic, Punk has 30 days to defend the title before he has to forfeit it anyway, right?

Didn't watch the end of the show, but knowing that Punk resurfaced and Cener got yet another WWE title win, my only thought is:

I don't really care one way or another Punk is back early. I had assumed he truly wanted time off, but I can't fault him for wanting to strike on this story as he's driven is so far. He's made it standout so well, and made Cena basically a second level guy when they're together.

But at SummerSlam, assuming they're facing title for title, there's absolutely no rhyme or reason Cena should get the unification titles. If so, the story is dead to me. The SummerSlam match last year with Nexus where Cena no-sold being DDT'd on concrete and destroyed Barrett and Gabriel within seconds still to this day baffles me. Punk cannot lose this via pinfall or submission. Whether something happens via DQ or whatever, that's another story, which may happen if Del Rio involves himself.

This weeks CHIKARA Podcasta-A-Go-Go is a special Art of Wrestling video episode where Colt Cabana & Mike Quackenbush hype their upcoming match with British wrestling legends Johnny Saint & Johnny Kidd at Chikarasaurus Rex on July 31st in Philly. They also go into a lot of detail as to what led to this match taking place and their love of the British wrestling style, illustrated with clips from matches Colt & Quack have had against Saint & Kidd in the past, awesome stuff, check it out;

I know WWE actually has the updated title history listed(Punk>Rey>Cena) on the site but I thought the whole point of Punk coming out with the real title was to say, "hey that shit doesn't count because I'm still the champion"

And he will easily break a record that will likely never be beaten. I wouldn't be surprised if he got up to 15-20 reigns before he retires.

Trips is still on top if you add his World Title titles reigns...but yeah I agree.
