July Wrasslin' [OT] Expired visas and injured Punks :(

A few observations -
- Mysterio is the definition of corny. Less talk and more wrestling would be great, but unfortunately he hasn't changed his wrestling style or introduced anything new for years. It feels very stale most of the time and his opponent seems to be the guy who freshens up his matches (CM Punk and Jericho).

- I've always found face Abyss decent and sometimes entertaining, but his recent heel work has been great. I thought he'd never return to the Monster Abyss but I guess his push got nowhere so he needed a change. Now he feels more like a star.

- Why are the jokes about Sheamus's skin colour allowed? Racism anyone? I thought you Americans were big on racism?

What the fuck? How is it racist to point out his super whiteness? I really want to know.

Do you think it was racist when Darren Young called himself the black John Cena?

Irish people, who are not dumb women with a fake tan who look orange, are all white in general. Ginger Irish people are very white.

If I'm not mistaken, he's whiteness is because he's Irish, which is purely genetics. He can't help it, just like black people can't help being black. It's his skin colour.

There's nothing wrong with Darren Young calling himself the black John Cena just like there's nothing wrong with calling Sheamus super white. But there is a problem calling Sheamus a 'jar of mayonnaise' which is equivalent to comparing a black person to 'chocolate'. Well, that's how I see it anyway.


I guess each country has their different views of what is racist and what is not, but for a PG rated show, mocking the skin colour of a race is unacceptable. I guess one can say it's okay since it's all purely jocular, but it is not the right message to send to the millions of kids watching Raw every Monday night.

That would then make it racist to call Mark Henry "Sexual Chocolate."

It's all about context and intent. "Jar of mayonnaise" doesn't mean anything negative.

Saw one during Smackdown the other day. She's doing everything she can to distance herself from the WWE.

TNA needs to give this guy whatever he wants. Anything would be better than what they're doing now. The Hogan/Bischoff project hasn't worked, and we're what...7 months in now with no new viewers, and quite possibly a lower quality product than before?

It's time to SHAKE THINGS UP AGAIN /Vince
 
Really hope TNA gives Heyman what he wants. Seems to be the only guy to have an idea how to actually turn TNA around.

Yep tonight we get sombre Cena I imagine going on about how the nexus have gone too far and need to learn respect etc etc.

I don't mind Cena myself but he has become predictable a long time ago he has either jokey immature promo, fighting shouty promo or JR voice I can't overcome these odds promo.
 
Yeah...I can safely say that after last week, I couldn't give a fuck less about Raw tonight. Right now I'm faced with two choices. Sleep since I've been up since 3AM, or stay up and watch Raw.

I'm leaning towards the former.

Yeah, I'm really not looking forward to Raw right now. They had so much momentum and then killed it all with one shitty show.

This is how I feel right now, but I am not all that tired yet, so I will give it ago... a really bad RAW can make me tired though :D
