Jumped off the Vita bandwagon

I had some fun with it, but the lack of games and bullshit memory card prices were too much for me.
It got a crack in it after I dropped it one night anyway, so I decided to just sell it on Craig's List.
Met up with some dude wearing a Raiders shirt that looked homeless, was scared I was gonna get shanked so I sold it for $50 and got the hell out of there.
He was babbling about degenerates and poors the whole time.

At least tell me you played Tearaway.

Edit: also lol @ selling a vita for $50. you got robbed unless it was damaged really badly.

I still own my Vita, but the moment I realized DOA5U wasn't ever coming, it became dust.

Maybe FFXIV remote play will pull me back in.

Always sell inside a walmart when using Craiglist. Not at home not at his home not in a parking lot. Inside the most public place like a walmart or mall

I bought mine just for the PSOne Classics in the store. All those RPGs! Ă–

Sorry to hear your experience turned sour. I'll fire up MGS2 on it tonight and choke some people out for you.

I guess it all depends on taste. There are way too many great Vita games that I want to play more of, but just don't have enough time. And the Vita is my most played system so far this year.

You dropped it? Good job.
You sold it for $50? ok.

Why is the memory card price such a big deal? Just bite the bullet on a 64GB card from play-asia and you'll never think of it again.

Amazing.

You got robbed, dude was obviously messing with you.

I'm really enjoying playing mgs 2/3 on my vita

About to pick up lbp

I don't think I'll ever run out of stuff to play. I got quit the back log

Yeah, that things pretty much dead. It's a good thing that it's Sony's only casual to mobile, unlike Nintendo.

Did he bring this with him for his new Vita?

Also $50 for a Vita with a cracked screen? Probably could've gotten a bit more depending on how functional it was

I've got no interest in any Vita games since Ys came out, so I just use mine as a souped up PSP (hacked the PSP mode when the recent hack came out and moved my PSP games over) and a fancy way to play PS1 games on the go.

What genres would those be?
The genres at which PSP, for instance, excelled. It's woefully malnourished as far as (non-kart) racing, TPS/adventure, and 3D fighting games go.

The last one hurts the most. Imagine Soul Calibur, Tekken, VF on that OLED...too heavenly.

It doesn't get the fps of the month, is what he's trying to say.
Don't care for FPS games, but I guess that applies from a mass market perspective.

Yea, I think I might get rid of it at this point. I haven't really bothered with remote play, and I just don't like handheld games in general I guess. It sucks because I can get a lot of PS+ games on it, but I just haven't played the damn thing enough to justify keeping it. I do want a Vita TV, if that ever decides to drop in the states -__-"

I may be doing the same in a couple of months if Sony doesn't announce anything. I've got no interest in PS2 collections running worse than they do on PS3 and remote play is extremely disappointing. Tearaway and Toukiden are the only standout titles that I can't play elsewhere, it's insane how bad they dropped the ball with JRPGs, there is fucking nothing.

There's a distinct lack of exclusives, though. If he has played the many indie titles and ports before, then there's not a whole lot the vita has to offer.

There are lots of exclusives but people seem to just like sticking with 'there are no games'. If there are no games that appeal to an individual then that's one thing but to say there is a lack of games is flat out false

I would have massive regrets if I was in the same shoes as the OP.

I don't use my VITA every day, but every time I do - I am always impressed with it.

I was snowed in last week for three days, and OlliOlli literally burned a blister into my left thumb. That hasn't happened to me since I played SSB:M in the dorms for 14hrs+ a day... It really is an incredible portable system, with
more-than-
fairly priced content (wish I could say the same about eShop games...).

Alright. So it's coming up on 2 years the Vita has been out. In a perfect world how many exclusives should it have at this point in its life cycle?

Damn I would probably get one for $50 to just have spelunky on the go.

But yeah Vita support is godawful. Pretty pathetic that the biggest game it gets this year is a two year old port of Borderlands 2.

Nah, there are plenty of exclusives. The only real issues with the Vita are the price of the memory cards and the lack of real first party support.

I think you just met Elpresador.
50 is too cheap.
