I'll laugh when Masters comes out and cuts a promo on how he'll be the next WWE champion.
At least he has the size to measure up against Triple H, Batista, and Cena. As long as he doesn't talk, I'm okay with it.

If he doesn't get into the Legacy/Dave stuff, I wouldn't mind him starting a program with MVP or whoever wins the U.S. Championship at Extreme Rules.

Really? That'd be kind of dull. Then again, most mid card stuff is. Hence why it's in the mid card.

Wait, Orton/Triple H was in the main event! My perceptions of reality have just shifted.

Anyone else gearing up for Impact tonight?

Shane Douglas , Raven and Victoria are all supposed to make their "official" returns tonight according to the press release. I guess run ins don't count.lol

I'm personally watching mainly to see Brutus Magnus of the British Invasion.

Jesse Neal debuts as well. Who is this guy really? Has he done indy shows before? I know he is supposed to be Rhino's trainee but I suppose that is just a work.

Sounds distinctly underwhelming. So yeah, it'll probably be better than most 'iMPACT!'s.

To be fair, isn't Masters and Orton seemingly good friends? Make sense.

Wow you have some thing to prove about Orton?
He is some evil puppeteer?

Honestly, I don't think Orton has that much stroke... hell I don't think HHH has that much stroke.

I thought Masters was okay on the stick. And the masterlock bit was a really good gimmick, it just went on WAY TOO LONG and should have evolved/changed like....12 years before they let BOBBY LASHLEY break it.

Wasnt Masters 'released' from WWE for steroids use?

Dear God, why Chris Masters?? That guy was boring as f#*{ when he was on last. At least Kennedy was entertaining on the mic. I'd just as soon slam my head into my desk again than watch Masters.

Jesse Neal is a legit war hero. He was on the USS Cole when it was attack by terrorists.
He is a graduate of Team 3D's school. Pretty good wrestler and a good person.

Watching Slamboree on WWE Classics on Demand, and its such a weird PPV.

The major angle is that Bischoff challenged Vince to a match... as if Vince would give them the buyrates.

Then there is the nWo... I swear ALL of their top stars are in the nWo at this point... Sting, Luger, Nash, Giant, Hogan, Savage, Hart, Dusty friggin Rhodes.

This is famous for Jericho's intro of the cruiserweights though.

Also no WCW title match.

Huh? I didn't invoke that intention at all. Even so, I read Kennedy and Orton were good friends. But the whole thing still is, I think, a big overreaction. Let's see. Vince is coming off the Denver Nuggets arena fiasco, his ratings are dropping, and Randy got mad because he landed on his surgically repaired shoulder. Ken a perfect wrestler? By far no means is he, but his history of screw-ups is little or even similar to others like Orton himself.

The Masters thing sounds like he's "replacing" the spot vacated by the release of Kennedy. I had hoped MVP would be that, and he still may be, but there's a missing part in that spot. While Kennedy was a face, maybe this changes things up a little since I assume Chris will be a heel. Prior to getting released, Kennedy could've been in a transitional feud with Orton until Triple H returns, which is expected fairly soon, I would think.

Anyone else looking forward to ROH - Take no Prisoners next friday? I totally forgot there was a PPV coming up, but then I saw this teaser that ROH recently posted;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzIqUCdL07Y

If I was in the US and able to purchase the PPV, that match alone would make it an instant buy, anytime Nakajima & KENTA are in the same ring it's guaranteed gold. As it is, i'll download this saturday and buy the DVD when it's out - even looking beyond that match most of the card looks pretty entertaining;

  • KENTA & Tyler Black VS Nakajima & Austin Aries
  • Jimmy Jacobs VS Necro Butcher - No Holds Barred Grudge Match
  • Alex Koslov VS Roderick Strong - AAA vs ROH
  • Kevin Steen, El Generico, Magno & Jay Briscoe VS American Wolves, Chris Hero & Incognito
  • Jerry Lynn VS Bryan Danielson VS D-Lo Brown VS Erick Stevens
  • Brent Albright VS Claudio Castagnoli VS Blue Demon Jr.
  • Colt Cabana VS Ace Steel

Anyone watching Smackdown?

It is once again a solid show thus far, I don't think there has been a wasted segment or match yet.

Seeing as he's coming back might as well post these:

He came down to Australia and did a few indy shows two months ago. Wasn't a particularly good match, though his reactions to STEROID chants were amusing.

Did he look at least like he learned a few technical moves? Because he couldn't work a mic and his only talent was losing 40 pounds of steroid muscle in a short amount of time.

He was his old sluggish WWE self, plodding around the ring, trying to execute the masterlock when ever he could.
There was a fucking awesome cage match that night though.

So I see he still hasn't gained back the MASSIVE amount of muscle he lost.

I dont see him sticking around long. He'll fuck up somehow... or go back to boring the crowd to tears.

If there was one guy who no one wanted to come back... it was MAsters.

Just so I know there won't be any bias, I'll ask the people in this thread which avatar to use - my current one or:

Anyone see Go Shiozaki vs Chris Hero from NOAH's most recent show? Really great match, Hero totally stepped it up and Shiozaki continues to impress - it's crazy how over Hero is in Japan, but it's well deserved as he certainly fits in well at NOAH. Can't wait to see his upcoming match against Takayama, should be brutal.

Big returns generally are.
I thought this one was especially awesome. Teasing people into thinking its Grizzly then delivering Cabana, then having a big (by ROH standards) crowd sing along to Copacabana.

From Joey Styles' twitter:

Obama hid from his middle name, Hussein, during the election and now brags about how many Muslims live in America. He's a fraud.

Our marxist president is in the Middle East apologizing for for the USA and snubbing Israel. The disgrace continues.

And then Jim Cornette bitch slaps Styles in his response:

Smackdown would get higher ratings if it was placed on USA. It'd probably even get higher ratings than RAW. Gerwitz is a piece of shit in creative. Michael Hayes, even for being such a drunken douche, knows his shot and knows how to piece an entertaining show together.

I wish I can watch Extreme Rules tomorrow. I kind of wish that Dreamer wins it and then drops it at the next ECW taping and retires. I've always liked the guy. Yeah, he sucks in the ring but I still think he better than the walking injury reel Batista. Man, does he blow.

I haven't watched ROH on HDNET since the second Black vs Danielson match. Fantastic wrestling but the show does need some story lines.

TNA has been good lately. But work, gym, and WoW has taken up all my time and have forgotten to keep up with TNA and ROH, even WWE. Doh. I hope Slammiversary is good!

I caught SmackDown for the first time in a long time tonight. WWE sure knows how to waste Chris Jericho's potential. Why is he cutting slow Triple H promos about unmasking Rey Mysterio? Where's the funny? Plus, are we really supposed to forget Rey wrestled without his mask for like two years? He didn't even do it under a different gimmick, its when all this 619 stuff started! I WANT TO LIKE YOU WWE, STOP HURTING MY BRAIN!

Forgot Extreme Rules is tomorrow. Guess my one day off this week will be pretty much used up between that and watching Tommy Hanson pitch. That's not a bad day actually.

I like Jericho's character now.
And his promos aren't even close to the boring, monotone of Triple H's.
