oh well, Smachdown! is still around.
Bobby Lashley appeared on the Busted Open radio show last night and defended Mr. Kennedy following his recent WWE release. "If somebody says that (Kennedy worked too stiff), I think they need to get a reality check, man. We're wrestlers, we're not dancers. We're not children. If someone touches you a little harder in a friggin' wrestling match and you go crying about it, that's ridiculous.
"I've been punched in the face, kicked, I've been hammered left and right by several different people. I never went crying and said, 'Oh, he hit me too hard.' That's just part of the business of wrestling. It ain't volleyball. It ain't tee-ball. They're grown men, most of which being well conditioned grown men... I had several matches with Kennedy and I never left the match and said, 'Oh, man, you hit me too hard.' I liked the way he worked.
"I didn't think he was too stiff. I worked a lot of people who are top guys that are a lot stiffer than him. Some of the veterans would even say that they work a little snugger out there. It kind of helps. I don't mind if someone works stiff with me because it helps me react a little better. It helps me get into the match a little more."

JavyOO7 said:Vickie is apparently gone from the WWE. From Powell...
Vickie Guerrero has given her notice to WWE and tonight's segment with Edge was a blowoff angle, according to PWInsider.com. She cited a desire to spend more time at home with her daughters.
Powell's POV: This is a shame because Vickie was the most over heel on most shows. It's nice that WWE sent her off with class by having her work a hog pen match and then having Edge tear her to shreds on the mic. This is just speculation, but Raw is in Charlotte next week, Ric Flair is rumored to be re-signing with the company, and there is a vacant Raw general manager position. Hmm....

Well CM Punk is going heel... maybe the WWE will balance that turning EDGE.Penguin said:As far as I know, he didn't turn one way or another.
But as pointed out before, the man admitted he married a woman for her power.
Once she lost her power, he divorced her.
I don't know, PG WWE doesn't blur the line between face/heel that much.
Also, maybe I'm missing a step, but why exactly would the WWE turn their most over heel, face right now?

I guess the Dave/Cena feud has got to wait!World Wrestling Entertainment has confirmed that Batista will be undergoing surgery on his left bicep later today.
WWE.com notes that Batista is expected to be out of action for four months, which would mean hed be getting back in the ring this October.

Twice.
Anyway, these days it's all about THA MIZ!

Penguin said:I thought they only did the feud once... and it was one match.
At this point, it would be wise for the WWE to hold off on it until Mania 26 as it is one of the few main events with the current players that hasn't been ran into the ground.

So, Rey and Punk feud to perhaps begin? This seems to indicate it. Though I would figure the Jericho and Rey thing to go on a little further. Maybe for a setup for SS after The Bash...Ever since CM Punk cashed in his Money In The Bank at the PPV Sunday, there has been a lot of talk as to whether he will turn heel at tonight's Smackdown taping. Steven Fernandes sent this report, which would seem to back up that Punk is turning heel.
"The current announced main event for the WWE Supershows in Salisbury, MD on July 24th and Wildwood, NJ on the 25th is John Cena and Rey Mysterio vs. Big Show and CM Punk, so it looks like they are going ahead with the CM Punk heel turn."

Dr. Kitty Muffins said:I wish MVP would become the champ but I think your right. My bet is that Triple H gets the title in the near future. If he doesn't win it outright at the next show, whomever gets it will just be keeping it warm while they build for Triple H's eventual title run, IMO.
Dr. Kitty Muffins said:This would be sweet.
Wouldn't it be downright sad if TNA tried to sign Umaga and Vickie? :lol
