It already has two things going for it that the others didn't, which impedes my enjoyment of those: the theme park concept, and new concepts. The Lost World and JPIII felt like spin-offs to me that were desperate for a reason to exist, story-wise, but Jurassic World's story feels like a legitimate successor to the original. I have no idea how it'll turn out, but at least they're trying new stuff in addition to it going back to being a theme park setting.
Also not sure how the new kids are any worse looking than Tim and Lex. You can take stills or brief footage of kids in peril and it's always going to look like that. I think Kelly raised the bar so high for shitty kids that these guys won't hold a candle to her, and I've liked Ty Simpkins in everything I've seen him in.
