It's one trailer and he only says a few things.

True, but they're trying to promote the movie. And with this trailer, they're promoting it as a dumb summer action movie which will most likely be filled with these dumb one liners.

I know it just sounds like I'm hating, but I love Jurrasic Park and I enjoy Pratt in Parks and Rec.

I just want this movie to be good.

What's coming?!

lol!

The dinosaurs were breeding, which wasn't part of the plan. Nedry's virus simply sped things up. Plus, wasn't there some sort of hurricane that was heading towards the island? Even without Nedry, a hurricane could've knocked out power to the fences all by itself. And the dinosaurs ended up surviving the lysine contingency at the end of the book by feeding on lysine rich crops.

The Park was a ticking timebomb. If it hadn't been Nedry, it would've been something else.

Or a hurricane might not have done anything and those other things like breeding and the lysine thing could have been observed as the park continued to operate normally and they could have adjusted for that accordingly. Sure, the film hinted that it was slowly escaping their control, but the main nail in the coffin to the park was one man's greed in the form of Nedry. He inadvertently made sure the park never even got the chance to succeed.

Totally agreed. As a kid the first movie inspired my friend and I to spend days designing our own park and how it would operate and avoid pitfalls.

Taking place on a functioning theme park has its JP1 ties, but it also deals with issues that no film has dealt with yet like maintaining an audience, training dinosaurs, and having to up the ante leading up to tampering with genetics. It will feature people running from dinosaurs as is expected, but will also feature dinosaurs vs dinosaurs in a way that's actually significant. Conceptually I feel like this film has a lot of potential. I don't mind that it goes into campy territory. The film doesn't have to match the same tone as the other JPs. I just want the film be well crafted and have memorable characterization. And have cool dinosaurs.

I just hope it's at least better than TLW and JP3.

Meh. If your aim is to wow me with dinosaurs, they need to not look like shit. "bu, bu, but final effects!" Don't care. Lame trailer, lame lines, lame cg and the fucking raptor whisperer?

Nah.

The CG looks really bad and unconvincing.Especially in the safari and motorcycle scenes.

Youtube is obviously not the best way to judge this but stilllll

WHAT HAS SCIENCE DONE??????????

Seriously though, they're totally gonna kill off some of his dino buddies and make us feel sad aren't they? SPIKE! PETRIE!! NOOOO! :'(

I still think the idea that they just up and decided to create a genetically modified super predator is fucking dumb, but I know I 'll still love this movie. That great white feeding scene was fucking COOTS.

I'm rewatching Jurassic Park now and I don't know how people can say this movie isn't in the spirit or theme of the franchise when it's literally the frutation of what Hammond and co always envisioned the park to be

- A park catered to everyone, not just the super rich
- Target audience is kids
- "More adventurous guests can opt for our jungle river cruise or for a close up look at our majestic winged dinosaurs"
- Basic tour + "other rides will come on-line six or twelve months after that" with "spectacular designs"

Jurassic World is everything that Hammond had wanted the park to be. If that's not a true faithful sequel to Jurassic Park, I don't know what it is.

And ironically, they're finally going beyond Ian's claim of "standing on the shoulders of giants" by venturing into uncharted territory and making a new creature.

Because most people who complain about shit have no idea what they're talking about and just want to complain for the sake of complaining. Some people can never be pleased.

I don't so much have an issue with a genetically modified dinosaur, but pls, why a predator? Why not make a Diplodocus that's double the size? Or swims?

So what was the impetus with naming the film Jurassic "World"?

Is this going to a Planet of the Apes type thing where the new generation of dinosaurs eventually threaten all of mankind?

They are trying to show off the movie and those are the lines they picked...pretty inexcusable if the script is actually well written.

JP Trailer:
Alan Grant said:
"Dinosaurs and man, two species seperated by 65 million years of evolution, just've been thrown back into the mix together. How can we possibly have the slightest idea... what to expect?"
JP4 Trailer
Chris Pratt said:
"You just went and made a new dinosaur? Probably not a good idea."
"She's a highly intelligent animal. She'll kill anything that moves."

Funnily enough Chris Pratt motorcycling through the jungle with the raptors echoes badly Shia swinging the vines alongside monkeys.

Who wants to see some boring herbivore eating bushes or something? People like excitement and thrills. Why do people see alligator wrestling or go in shark cages? Or enjoy going on the coasters with the biggest drops?

A new never-before-seen dinosaur! Bigger than the Trex! Deadlier than the Velicoraptor! You thought you saw everything Jurassic World had to offer, but you've never seen a dinosaur like this!

I'll take it.

Because of its ridiculous logic of creating a more dangerous dinosaur as a new attraction. Do they not have any knowledge of the past events in this movie? I'm not sure what ass pull justification they will have for creating a hybrid but Hammond would never approve endangering everyone because sales are down for the park. This is Sea World with Dinosaurs not the ideal Jurassic Park he envisioned. Perhaps they will weave this into the storyline but I doubt it.

In the first movie there are raptors and a T-Rex. Go on.

Disneyland is to Disney World, as Jurassic Park is to Jurassic World.

How? I must be blind or something. One out-of-context shot, mainly in the realm of realism, with a mix of practical (Pratt is actually on a bike) and CGI? Vs CGI Shia swinging through the trees with CGI monkeys, throwing physics and logic out the window? You know, maybe if Pratt was actually riding the raptor like a horse, yeah I'd agree with you.

Oh, they do. And they don't care. In the book, Hammond was the only one reigning them in and keeping them from making new dinosaurs.

Didn't they already modify a dinosaur by making dilophosaurus frilled and poisonous? They're just taking the next logical step

And in the movie, they described JP as a "major zoo and a major theme park" with rides. It was always envisioned to be more than just a zoo or preserve
